One week from tonight, July 26th is my 54th birthday. DGPG band is playing at Kickstand that evening, sure would love to have you guys park a bright colored stripe of Buell on the front of the place. If I did not have to drive the gear to the gig, I would be riding the X1W. Ok let's see, oh yeah, who was the black XB eastbound on Hwy 152 this morning? I had to drive the pickup this morning, but have been riding the X1W. I rode to Lawrence to work at Depot Tuesday, got baked, man that was one of the hotter rides home I have ever had. My leg got red and my nutz became popcorn. I stopped in Bonner and let it cool down and then made the ride on home. The FXR has an oil leak on the rear cyl rocker box so I am not riding it until I get it fixed. Buell has been running good, hwy 5 runs to work in the morning are fun. Makes working in Leavenworth more tolerable. The band played Metro North Mall center court last Friday, that went well. Never thought I would be playing Pink Floyd music in the local shopping mall at age 54. We rocked, too bad the management was so uptight about our playing volume, that really screwed up our vocals being heard. You guys play safe, watch our for the greasy stuff on hot pavement. |

Not sure who will carry the Zumo locally. Best Buy, Circuit City are usually good bets. However, I would buy one from gpscity.com or some other mail order outfit to avoid the tax. I have gotten to play with one and it will be worth every penny. They should be available in late September. This is the first one that I may spend my own money on (if I can't score one for long-term testing). |

Make sure you leave those warning stickers on. You don't want to void the warranty on the warning sticker adhesive. Congrats!!!! Welcome to the other side. |

I got the XB Thursday nite did a little riding and parked it. Friday it rained early but at lunch time I drove home and got the XB rode it to Gails got oil and filter for it and went back to work got off rode it home parked it in the garage and went and did our skydiving demo into the T bones . When I got home it was dark but there was lites flashing in the garage so i hit the garage door opener I had grabbed the big flashlight I have in the Tracker to use to crack the head of whoever it was in my garage.I looked into the garage and found that the XB was backed up into the far corner with the S-3 Thunderbolt headlight to headlight blocking the XB in the corner. First off I didn't park them like that and besides that there was NO ONE in the garage just the two Buells and my buddy's old relic a 1977 Harley FLH and other stuff but nobody there... Yep had me kinda' stumped but to be sure I rolled the XB out of the garage and into the house it being lighter and more nimble....hey wait a second I didn't start the XB and you know it was almost like it pulled me up the ramp onto the porch to get in the front door to be parked in the house....
public relation photo (S3 insisted on being up front and in focus I thought I heard snickering in the background when I was taking the picture) |

Duh..thats the neighbors fence and those are climbing Roses and grape vines that my neighbor is very anal about NOT cutting down, so to keep the peace ,I just put a little bit of weed killer on the vines every once in awhile so only parts of the plants die and it drives him nuts. |

Rode Keefs new bike.........very nice brakes, very flickable in the turns, decent power,a little less than my old tuber, but ok.Very solid motor, thats a big plus. Before I get ANY other bike,I am going to buy my wife a car,she wants one of the newer body styled mustangs.I have bought myself 2 new bikes, several used bikes,a few plinking toys, and LOTS of skydiving stuff so...........its only fair she get her a toy.So..........I will resist the DARK side of the force and keep riding my TUBER. |

I thought that neighborhood might not be "your" type. Go slow along Holliday Drive. The local barnie fife makes his salary on the 25mph limit. |

Richie don't give into the pressure... Our old tubers are solid and will give us years of riding. But yes the new XB's are VERY nice... I sat on a XB12Ss at Topeka last year and it reminded me of an M2... as far as the seating and handle bar positions... Nice Bike Keef!! |

Check out this video of a guy on a Road King, if he was on a Buell he would have had no problem. http://www.twistedlimit.com/cbr/Twistedlimit317.WMV |
