Trying to throw some support into blackxb9's Helmet that won him a new Buell. Lets see how many people would support this if Buell got persuaded to produce it. I would buy the city x version. This is for the design of the helmet. I am not sure what kind it would end up on.

I would consider one. But 1. Who made it? 2. How does it fit? what can I say only shoei or arai for me. My melon is worth it. Not meaning to start a fight but those are my standards. Price who cares. |

only if that came on x-11 or schubert c2. For helmets, function 1st and paint 2cnd. |

I like the design for sure, I think it is very creative and goes well with the buell theme. But I don't think I would buy it, I'm am a solid black guy. I'm actually white, but you know what I mean! |

Nice, but why doesn't it match my 04 black xb12s? |

As long as it's a quality manufacturer, I would definitely buy the red and gold one!!! |

I'm pretty sure if it was produced it would be on the Buell Asphalt platform which sells for $225. I don't know the quality, protection or comfort of this helmet and I agree protection comes first on my head too. http://a1276.g.akamai.net/7/1276/1354/3ffc3b234a9b33/www.buell.com/images/produc ts/apparelaccessories/productimages/99427-05BX_large.jpg |

the Buell/kbc helmets are based on the VR1 model. Not a bad helmet, and fits me perfectly. |

Sure I'd buy one...make mine lightweight,I will gladly pay extra. Last item is not black, way too hot for summer ridding. (Message edited by bake on July 20, 2006) |

I have one of the high octane helmets, like the one in the link. It is a nice helmet, but the strap holding the d rings could be a little longer. It is a pain to get strapped and snapped. I am getting used to it though. |

Are you kidding?!?!?! A $200 helmet is a disposable piece of crap anymore these days! If it was in the $400-$600 range and on a good helmet manufacturers lid then I'd get it! I'll be in the market for a new helmet soon enough, my current one is a 2005 Shoei X-Eleven. I ride and sweat so damn much, not to mention trash my helmet so much that I need to get a new one every couple of years. Ya get what you pay for, and that is a SWEET A** DESIGN! |

I love the design and would buy one if it was made in an Arai. It's the only helmet that fits my head right. The KBCs that Buell uses are useless for me. Schmitty |

I would but Im not too fond of KBC after I tried on and rode with the Force Airborne helemt. It felt like a piece of ultra lightweight shit that wasnt going to protect me if I put some skid marks on the pavement. I would buy it in an HJC or Scorpion EXO-700 version (like that last one will ever happen) |

I pounded my head into the ground with a KBC VR-1. The day I broke my collarbone and ribs ducking an oncoming car. It did very well and it was gouged up pretty bad. I have a Vemar now and when that is toast back to Arai for me. I would buy another vemar but there is no longer a US distributer. |

I'd buy one, but there would have to be a more color schemes available. One for all the present models... and specials available for the voltage body work, as well as the camo body work for the uly. |

my first bike and i bought the Asshault helmet(looks like the one shown), and for my melon, its the best one i have tries on. i love if if fits perfect. Icon, HJC are cheap ass junk. Icon looks cool but wouldnt trust my head in one. Hjc are even worse. at least the one i bought for my wife as a "temp" for now!! |

Any IP rights that would prevent someone from having an Arai painted in that scheme? I've got a moto deal coming up and a new helmet on the way from Arai. I totally dig the paint scheme. |

Really nice design! I'm with the function over form crowd for sure, but if the quality was there, I'd be interested. |

KBC helmets are made with the same technology as the Arai/Shoei/AGV/ETC and pass the same safety standards. They are just as light, have a better mechanism for the visor (IMO... It's subjective) and are less expensive and have the same features. That said, I'm only talking about the VR1 and VR2 line. I haven't done any research into the other lines. |

The blue paint scheme is nice, but I wouldn't buy anything that said "Tourist Trophy" on it. C'mon people it's a VIDEO GAME, and they can do their own advertising! Would you buy a helmet that says "Super mario" - NO. Tourist trophy may be a video game about motorcyles, but it is still a video game. Other than that, the paint scheme is very nice and I'd actually prefer it over the wild stuff everyone seems to be selling these days. |

I agree about the Tourist Trophy on the side, but that was a prerequisite for the design. I had no choice but to keep it there. |

It isn't going to sell for $200.00, not if their market research is asking if anyone here would want to buy it. Sounds like a very limited production scheme, with a need to make a handsome profit on each helmet. Now if HD picks up on it and sells it as a stocked item, we might have a chance at the lower price, IMHO. P.S. I also don't like advertising for anyone unless it's just the bike brand, 'cause then everything, bike and gear, is a "match". |
