Ok, so the headlights on my 2003 XB9R are no longer coming on. Symptoms:

1.) A couple days a go the high beam indication come on and stayed on no matter which posistion it was toggled. If it was toggled off of high beams, both the lights were off but the indicator was on.

2.) Last night as I was about to go riding, both lights refused to come on. THe indicator is still on.

3.) As I was fiddling with it trying to get them on, I turned the key to off without hitting the kill switch first and the engine kept running.

I pulled a lead off the battery to try and reset the ECU, and then popped open the switch to look for any obvious disconnects and found nothing. Does anyone know what the next thing I should check should be?

Did you check around where your headlights are at? Under the front fairing? Sometimes wires can become loose, disconnected, short out from all that vibration and daily use. I've got an intermittent short I have to find yet also! Good luck
