I can understand fooling around with friends, but I'd pick an area with fewer obstacles to practice/play in, and I'd wear my gear, or at the very least a helmet. That jacket, gloves and helmet don't do you any good in the closet I'm not trying to bust your balls, I just worry about the well being of fellow riders! |

HAHAH, your not bustin my balls and actually that is where we practice our 50 stunting since we know everyone on the block and they never call the cops. You can't see it but there is a really good line of sight to see cars coming. He usually wears his gear but I think we were just wasting time and decided to take some video. Wait till you see his high speed stand up wheelie's. |

You know I have to protect my reputation as the "Gear Pusher" I was out riding today in full gear (98 deg and humid), It was mesh, but I was still wearing all of it! |

Speaking for most of the KCLW boy's, we generally rock full gear on the sreets, no matter how hot it is.....however this last weekend we were traveling back from Tulsa in 100 degree temps and due to a breakdown we had a chase vehicle to carry some of our gear....We were soaking our shirts in water and putting them in the ice coolers outside the gas stations and filling our helmets w/ ice and all that would only keep us cool for about 15 minutes..... So much for people that think you can't wheelie a 9! WOW Duff, you just may be my new hero. I wish I could ride wheelies like that. |

9's wheelie just fine. Duff, Sweet wheelies! 2nd gears? Can you pull it up in 3rd? The 12 will go up in third but it takes practice. |

Yeah I was mostly doing those in 1st, especially around the long sweeping turn. I can do everything in 3rd, except sittin on the airbox wheelie. I wish I could wheelie sittin down in 3rd, but I've wheelied from 1st gear to 4th sittin down and shifting on the fly. That's about the only way I can get past 2nd sittin down. A bunch of pictures from our trip to Tulsa are on the KCLW board in Storm Fronts if anyone wants to check them out! This one's at about 60mph on the highway...I know I know, my harleystunts shirt is supposed to be good enough, right?

At least you are wearing a helmet and gloves in that one, that's a little closer You know you guys are giving me an ulcer right? I hate the thought of people I know getting road rash for no good reason. |

people don't die of the broke whatevers or the severed whatnots..they die from the bacterial infections from the ground that digs into their skin when they hit the pavement and slide for 100 feet....thats what i always think when i debate wearing my jacket...and if its freaking hot then i look at the bright side...i'm losing weight..lol |

That jacket sure fits like a T-shirt. Duff has yet to go down, I guess it is nice to get to ride and learn from all the pro stunt riders here in KC. I'm not saying that there isn't a chance of going down, it just helps learning and practicing with people who know what they are doing. There is always the chance of going down, he has been very lucky and is so smooth with the wheelies now, but stuff can happen. He's out practicing right now with a jacket on, but wait his helmet is still here. Just kidding. |
