My 04 seems to want to blow the ECM fuse sometimes. When bike is ridden farely hard, not excessive but normal it will blow the ECM fuse. I have the pro race kit also. This only happens when the bike is warm and I shift at Redline or Rev limiter (I think). What would cause this? I've checked for loose wires under my seat but none are showing and looks good down there. I'll punch it and right before it hits 6K I'll shift and give it hard throttle and she goes dead. I'll stop put a new fuse in and shift at 5K and ride it like that and the fuse will not blow? What gives? Kind of strange and the Buell guy around here is clueless? <-- uh, oh. |

You might want to take a look at this recent thread recent on intermittent shorts. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/211173.html?1152707968 By hooking up this test device to your ECM fuse slot, you can poke around to your hearts content until you find the short. People are often surprised to find where it lies. I certainly was. Hope that helps. |
