And a strong turnout of the Buell racers as well. Even Julian raced Great job M2guy!(especially after crashing in 7) |

Picked it up today. Nice bike. Only 1500 miles. Lot's of nice extra's like a tank bra Traction Grips, Frame Pucks and some other nice additions. Only thing I noticed after we got it home was the wheel bearings are BLACK. Need to be replaced. |

Rocco and Karri, Kandie just saw your post about the bearings and came upstairs and told me. Son of a ----! I will get it taken care of for you. It's been so long that the bearing thing came out I forgot to check them. I am sorry. Give me a call Monday and let's make a plan to get them replaced. It was great seeing all of you yesterday and thank you for the business! |

Didn't even think about. Dana noticed when Karri pulled into the garage after her inaugural ride. Karri will call you tomorrow to try and work it out. NOW..... what kind of deal can I get on a Uly with a trade on a 04 XB12S with 6200 miles and a few upgrades??!! |

hey tom, rocco, mike, nancy, jason, etc. i FINALLY, with the help of steve and toni *thanks guys*, got that circus tent bundled up into piles of poles so that i can unload it out of my truck, and its finally sitting in my garage. yes....its really been in there since may blackhawk races. just think how thats been helping my fuel economy to be dragging around a 10x20 canopy! since the box wrecked itself from the weight of those poles, i've been searching for a solution that would let me be able to load/unload the stuff solo. went to target, got an underbed box for the 8 shorter poles and 12 connector ends (the other poles were too long for the underbed box), got some light-duty short ratchet straps from home depot for the other FORTY-TWO poles. bundled the 42 poles into 4 bunches. so, now...its a bag full of the panels, a box full of poles/connectors, and 4 bundles of poles. but totally manageable for me to carry one at a time. whew! Karri says thanks to all. We went for a nice ride today and she couldn't stop talking about how much more she liked it than the Blast. Hey Tank. Saw Mike today. He says hello. Planning another trip to Deals Gap next year, Spring time, if you're interested. I may be on a Uly by then though. Like the 12S, but not for riding with my Son on the back. He just isn't comfortable back there. But I'll have Karri's bike for some more aggressive riding. Dora. Thank God! That canopy is the cat's pajama's, but it sure was a pain in the ass to set up the first time! Once up though, it can't be beat! Looking forward to the next race for me anyway. August 19-20. Can't wait till everyone is back! |

the cat's pajama's not sure what those are, but it sounds interesting ya, now that we understand the color coding system of the previous owner - it shouldnt be too hard to set up again! how many engineers did it take to get it up that day.............?!?! D |

UPDATE ON ME AND BIKE: took a look at my racebike for the first time since my crash (steve was nice enough to rescue it this past week from the shop where greg hauled it). looks like it should be all bolt-on parts - though quite a few of them all in all, i'm actually very impressed with how well the bike crashed - its got damage and abrasions left, right, top, and bottom - but looks to be completely (and fairly easily) salvageable. as far as my healing - i'm at 90% or so now. WAY BETTER! date for starting to drive again - started last week. 5 weeks of cabs and bumming rides wasnt much fun. my jeep is beating me up though - going to try to get an alignment, new shocks/steering stabilizer, and tires rotated to see if that helps. date for starting to ride again - sometime this week. date for getting back on racebike - end of august trackday at autobahn. date for racing again - possibly sept. have gone through ~90 vicodin (43 the 1st week!), 150 extra strength tylenol, some equally hideous number of advil (bottle wasnt full when i started but it was a 500 count bottle...), 2 tubes of icy hot muscle rub, 3 weeks of physical therapy, 2 massages, 6 doctor visits, 3 rounds of xrays over the last 6 weeks. (today is the 6 week "anniversary") able to function pretty normally - still have pain when taking super deep breaths, when moving around lying down, and trying to sit up from lying down. still sleeping on the couch - but now able to gingerly sleep on my side. Congrats Karri!!! Dora, Toni and I were talking this afternoon about getting all you women together to get a picture of the 'Buell Women'. With Dora, Karri, CJ, Andrea, Heather, Toni, Charlette, and Nancy. And submit it in to Fuell. Dora, there's nothing very difficult about fixing your bike, save for the bolt on the shifter that has the head ground down. I'll try and 'easy out' that thing this week. |
