last night was so much fun. i broke another belt about 7 miles from home on the highway. my green bike is waiting on its new tire to show up so i went and got my other bike from my friend thats been riding it because i wanted to ride. went out to the campground with some friends. left there and broke it part way home. this is the first belt on this bike though and it was still the original 03 version and had a crack in it so it's not like i didnt know it would happen eventually. you would be surprised how strong one of those retractable dog leashes is. never thought it could drag a buell for 7 miles. and before anyone starts telling me how bad of an idea it is to pull a bike with a car i already know that. left with the options of pulling it or kicking it over into the ditch and leaving it there i chose to pull it. cars left along the side of the road here dont always fair to well from what i have seen so you can imagine what would happen to a bike. it is the first time i have pulled a streetbike though. always used to have to drag the dirt bikes around after they had been buried in water or something to get them running again instead of kicking for 2 hours. even got pulled over by a cop on the way home. was really surprised at how cool she was about it. she thought i was tail gaiting, but once she realized the bike was broken she agreed that she wouldnt want to leave it on the side of the road either. cant wait till my chain conversion for the green bike is done so i have one less worry since that thing eats belts like they are going out of style lately... Hey Tim, you should have bought stock in the belt manufacturer! You aren't exactly easy on them either you nut When is you chain conversion going to be in? I figured you'd have it by now. |

We'l have to plan a get together, it's hard to troubleshoot and really be of help on something like that long distance. besides I need an excuse to come up when the Y2K is in the shop |

we took that thing to bike night in des moines the other week and and it was funny. light the thing up and everyone stays crowded around it. duh its a jet engine it melts your leg hair ten feet behind it. what was really cool was that my bike was right beside it and it was still getting looks even parked next to that thing! |

Tim, ya mean you're not going to start multiple threads on a few different forums about how Buell owes you a an upgrade kit? |

I thought Buell owed him a new '07 bike! Maybe he could threaten to sue them (or sue them and get a big undisclosable award) and proceed to complain because they only have bold new graphics this year. Wait a minute, already seen all that here before.

i think they should just start letting me do endurance testing on the bikes! i have yet to meet to many people that pound them as hard as me, on the street atleast... |
