I looked at a wrecked XB12R to determine the cost to fix. When the key was turned, the odometer worked. The starter wouldn't activate, but I'm assuming the missing relays on the left side had something to do with that. I didn't have the presence of mind to make sure that the ECM was still on the bike, and since then have worried that it may be gone also. My question is...Will the odometer information work if the ECM is removed? |

Yes. The odometer is not affected by changing ECMs so it is independent from the ECM. |

Thanks! I'm sure there is a photo somewhere, showing the location of the ECM on a XB12R, but I haven't been able to find one. Can someone direct me to a picture of an installed ECM...or is it too buried to take a picture while it is installed? |
