When buying a used Buell from a private individual and the original warranty still remains, does the warrany automatically transfer to the new owner or is there a form that must be filled out? I know the extended warranty requires transfer authorization but have no clue about the original. Many thanks!! | ||

Well, that's almost entirely true. H-D/Buell, will honor the factory warranty regardless of the owner registered to a specific VIN. However, if you want to notify H-D/Buell that ownership has changed, there is an Ownership Transfer Notification form that any authorized dealer has access to, that will notify the motor company that the VIN has a new owner. That's all. It's not required, but it's a no-hastle form that can easily be filled out to ensure that the motor company knows who is the owner of which VIN. Diablo, No pics yet since I need to give it a thorough cleaning so she looks her best for the camera. I went with a used 06 Bolt instead of the new one that I was talking about in the other thread. Dude bought it and a Night Rod 1 1/2 months ago and payed cash for them. Found out he liked riding the Night Rod better so sold the Firebolt. I ended up getting it for $6500.00 which ain't half bad for a bike purchased new less than 60 days ago with a total of 460 miles or so on it. I guess everybody gets lucky at least once in life huh? | ||
