I know about the Uly, am I hallucinating thinking I saw mention of the other XB wheels being stronger? (They need it, bad!) | ||

What would they need stronger wheels for. Unless you're taking them off jumps or running into walls, lol. | ||

The only bent rims I have seen are ones that have been in accidents and the wheel took a really hard direct hit. I think the stronger ULY wheels are also heavier. I wouldn't think Buell would make a stronger wheel because maybe 20 bikes have had bent rims. With the low number of bikes that have had this happen I don't think this would be reason enough to make this change. | ||

With some of the streets around Boston, you could easily hit a pothole that will bend a wheel enough to flatten a tire. I've seen a number of wheels from different manufacturers that have been really bent up. Then again, some of the potholes around the city could bend up Caterpillar tracks. |
