The stock filter will make you go rich. A pop indicates a lean condition. Did you give the AVF time to get settled in? |

I have the Alloy Jardine, recently repacked with silent sport, used a good gasket grease sealant to make sure no leaks. Race ECM, K&N Filter and I can say. THEY POP ON DECEL, especially under high rpm, it's no too bad but enough to be a pain. At least cars can hear you.. |

My Jardine pops very very little, but the ECM was mapped for my bike. |

I don't care what anyone says about leaks or lean crap i think ALL aftermarket pipes pop on decel on these things. Probably something to do with the lump of a motor and the whole Vtwin thing. |

It's all about proper fueling, in particular on decel with the throttle closed. It starts popping when it goes too lean. It's set lean from the factory, and the less restrictive exhaust just aggravates the problem, as do exhaust leaks and race air filters. This isn't something new. Al and Terry have fixed it with Direct-Link, as have others with other fueling solutions. We were just trying to help lessen the popping with stop-gap measures because obviously Bradley was asking for help, and you start with the simple (cheap) stuff first. |
