I was wondering if the Triumph 675 has a good low end pull like the Buells do. I've read soooo much good stuff about them i gotta know how they compare. Anybody? |

I haven't ridden one, but the sound is almost sexual. I'm thinking if they ever make a new speed4, or a naked 675 I might have to get one. Most good triumph dealer have demo programs, go ride one and let us know about it. |

the only problem is that they are selling really quick. a lot are sold before they arrive. i'ld be surprised if they had any 675's available on a triumph demo day. |

Actually I have found only the dark charcoal, and red color is selling. My local Triumph dealer has had a couple of gold 675 sitting around for some time. They even have a new list of people waiting for the Charcoal one. |

yeah, those are the only colors i would want too. every dealer i've talked to has the same stock problem as far the california stores go. my buddies wife works for HD as has heard of a new buell being released that is very fast. if true, my interest may be turned away from triumph anyway... |

It must be the new Arctic White Blast. White is the fastest color you know. :-) The 675 is sexy though, I wouldnt mind ringing one out. |

Did anyone notice that the 675 lights are reminiscent of the firebolt? It's no coincidence - both were penned by UK designer John Keogh. |

Cycle World just did a superbike test where they compared all the 600, 1000 and V-twin sportbikes. I think there were 13 bikes total in the test. The Triumph 675 came in second overall to the Aprilia and first in the 600 class. That has to tell you a little something about the bike. The article mentioned that the bike had good torque through the entire RPM range. |

I have a friend that is a Triumph dealer. He has a red one. Well last Sat he did anyway. Let me know if you want it Very cool looking bike. I didn't have time to beg him to let me take it for a spin. |

Dude in my opinion cycle world just sucks. If you want some pics and specs sure but I dont take what they say about bikes as truth. I dont anyways. The 675 in person looks dainty, shinny and shapely like post crack Lindsay Lohan. It also felt uncomfortable as hell. For the race track that would be my bike of choice however. |

Masterbike is put on by a Spanish moto mag and they invite racing journalist from around the world, the results speak for themselves and aren't Cycle Worlds opinion alone. You can read about it in any of the mags that sent a rider..... |

Cycle World does have Kevin Cameron, which makes the subscription worth it alone. I'm fascinated by the 675. Every single review has been stellar. |

The sound is sweet and its looks are beautiful. I think it's a little small for me though. I followed one around the track a bit my last time out. He would get the jump on me slightly out of some of the slower 1st gear corners, but I would gather him up quickly. Mine gets nasty at 12,000 and doesn't stop until a bit over 15,500. I call it the Yee-Haa! effect. I'd say given equal riders, it would come down to personal preference as to whether you buy the triple or a 4 for track-day purposes. I know I'd have just as much fun on his as I do mine. |

My son and I took a 675 Daytona for a ride/race. I was on his 05 Honda 600RR and we went from a 20 MPH roll at least 10 times and the 675 put 2 bikes on the Honda. It has a much better bottom and mid range than the Honda. I believe it puts out 44ft lbs of torque at 4,000 RPM where the Honda doesn't make that till 11,000 or so. Fun bike to ride but doesn't have the TQ like the BUELL. I would buy one over the other 600's out there but wouldn't trade my Buell in for one. (Message edited by tiburondriver47 on July 14, 2006) |

I would love a 675 as a Speed Triple. Lets see if Triumph does one. David |

I look at that bike and I feel like I do when I think of my buell. Even the sprint is pretty nice bike. One of the best looking touring bikes... |

I've thought about getting an Sprint ST after test riding one. I'm just not sure I want to part with my XB9S to do it. |

I've been eyeing the 675 for a while now. I'd love to give one a spin although I'm not expecting to be impressed for normal street riding. I overlayed some dyno charts of my 9 and the 675 a while ago. Looks like most of the power is at the high RPM range. I could live with that! |

Yup, I've really been wanting more power in the higher rpms lately but, I refuse to get caught up in some no torque typical jap bike. RC51? It looks pretty tall to be hitting the twisties and feel confident(for me). Aprilia? Then i'd be forced to use the local Duc dealer that is known for f$cking his customers with high maintenance fees. F$ckers. Sorry, i gotta friend with a 749 dark that thinks he's special cuz he thinks spending too much for an inferior model and maint. charges makes his bike superior to all others.. why? He was lied to by these guys. Their own sister store looks down on the dark as a weak 600. How should I tell him? |
