Why are the cherry bomb wheels $35.00 more???I'd like to hear the reason for that. |

I do like the cherry bomb. '08-'09? imagine how much $$ was spent to make the XB, then imagine how many they have to sell to break even and then make profit. They can't do that every couple of years (except I think they HAD to make a change from the X1 or they'd be gone). Hopefully, like the X1 to the XB, the XB to the XB^2 will also be an exponential leap! 140rwhp -yeah, I know..... but come on, $1500 in add ons to get to 80rwhp from a 9?? I dont care what all the other 'happy' dyno say. I've done 4 different dyno jets from tacoma to canadia and they all said the same thing. So a stock 9 puts out about 70.. hmm, what was my point again? back to the hot chicks on buells thread... |

Wow i didnt think a color change could be so sweet. The XB9R looks AMAZING in that scheme. The yellow XB12R looks weak though. |

VERY, VERY, VERY Disapointed. Basically they've introduced a new "accessory" catalog for those who want to change bodywork for new colors. NO reason to run out and trade/buy a new one. The sportbike market doesn't let manufacturers take "breathers". |

Swingarm looks the same as the 06 |

The sportbike market doesn't let manufacturers take "breathers". agreed. I was hoping for a bump in HP, or a loss of weight. Nada, just color fluff |

All these new color options really make me wish Buell had a custom order program. Pick a frame, body style, body color, wheel color, and accessories. I think the best color combination was the 9 engine in the 12 frame with the '06 blue R bodywork. I am a little bummed that they didn't keep that color. But, I must say, the 9R has never looked better. |

No mechanical differences... from their site: New on Buell XB Models for 2007 Pirelli Tires: All 2007 Buell XB models will roll on high-performance Pirelli tires. The Buell XB12X Ulysses and Lightning CityX XB9SX are equipped with aggressive Pirelli Scorpion Sync tires, while all other XB models are on the Pirelli Diablo T tires. Specific information on Pirelli tires can be found at www.pirellidiablo.com. New Colors: A new color, Cherry Bomb Translucid Red, will be offered for the Lightning XB12S and Lightning XB12Scg models. An exclusive feature to Buell, the Translucid airbox cover and flyscreen are made of a translucent plastic that gives the bike color but also allows some mechanical elements to be visible through the material. The Firebolt XB12R will be offered in Midnight Black with new Translucent Cherry Bomb Red wheels and windscreen, and for the first time in Sunfire Yellow with Designer Black wheels. Dats it! The sportbike market doesn't let manufacturers take "breathers". Maybe it's just me, but I really don't think Buell is out to compete with the R1, and GSXR's. The bike isn't exactly leading edge technology that needs to be updated every 2 years. Besides, there are plenty of Japanese bikes that have been around far longer without updates. Can you say Hayabusa? That is a bike that has had Bold New Graphics, and not much else, since 1999. |

The Buell is not like other sport bikes. So they can go as fast or as slow as they like with the updates. Reality is that until the Buell has 150rwhp it will not share the demographic with the rest of the sport bikes. I don't think we will see 150rwhp for quite a long time...................... |

I'll take a positive stance and say Buell's off year is because they are busy making next year a blockbuster....lol. |

Meanwhile, the mother ship's 2007s can be seen HERE if you can understand French Twin Cam 96, F.I. Sporty's, and a special Night Rod: I think they're up on the HD website but I can't get on it for some reason. must be really busy. The Buells? Other than the RR, which was an early release 2007 model, just some subtle tweaks. I'm dissapointed they still didn't update the Blast significantly. Buellshyter, you may be correct. Thats why I said earlier that I hope they will have big changes for next year cause I'll be in market for a new scoot...... Cause next year marks 25 years for Buell. If they don't you'll definately want to be in Wisconsin for Homecoming '07. |

Wow, I would have bet anything that the frame pucks would have at least been standard on all S type models this year. That's cosmetic and functional. |

I like the new colors, and I'm glad they brought in some accessories for the longs! Pirelli Diablo factory tires is also GREAT news. It means they'll be available more places if you're out on the road. I'm expecting the 08 models (25th anniversary) to blow our socks off! You heard it here first. |

When are they going to redo the blast? I think that would fill a niche. There are very few good looking super light-weight bikes. I love the colors but I wished they would have made some kind of styling change Like a right side scoop. |

The lower chin fairing looks different on them now. Am I correct or just thinking it? lol. I need to see a side by side comparison picture from the left side. Anybody on that? From an 06SS to an 07SS. |
