Thats DISCRIMINATION!!!!!!pulling those kinds of tactics on a predominately male bike site. Although she did have the best picture!!!! I'd vote for Blake to use that as the pic on the main screen!!!!! |

>>>>but now she is disqualified from winning the t-shirt Who made that rule? . . you must be from the government. Look. . . I had about 750 t-shirts here and I was thinking we could keep this thing going for about 3 years. Trish ends up with a budding modeling career with the Ford Agency, we end up walking around with smiles and the world's a better place. I am, of course, teasing. There is no way Brad Johnson, sitting aboard an S-2 stands a chance. Sorry Brad. . . that's life! |

Who made that rule? . . you must be from the government. Jeez, no reason to get insulting Court. It's not like you offered me an unlimited number of t-shirts! Of course we would all like to see more pictures of Trish.... I meant her bike... I mean Trish on her bike (or anywhere near it) right? Court, you are famous for your generosity, so why not offer to send her one if she posts some new pictures (and promises to post pictures wearing the shirt) and then we still have a shirt (shirts?) available for everyone else? Seems like a win-win to me! |

Whodom, That's my S2, so it doesn't qualify. Nor does it compete with the lovely Miss Trish. There is no contest here, gentlemen. |

knickers, nice photo! I have the same problem on the street- I occasionally remember to pull my foot back before entering the turn, but sometimes it's just that I didn't think I was going in that deep until it happens.... |

Love the fairing bags, Scott! You are welcome Trish, you earned them! Do you have them installed yet? Sorry I didn't have 2 large pieces of velcro left to send, but the 2 small ones will work. |

I haven't installed them yet...I've been very busy getting a new job! I just got hired at the local Yamaha dealership. I know, I know--it's not Buell--but it will be an awesome learning experience! Besides, our local H-D dropped Buell. No worries, though, I already told them there's not a chance in hell that'll I'd sell the Buell! Thanks Scott! |

Moved up from Novice to intermediate, replaced the Sidi's with Oxtars. Titanium toe sliders make cool sparks...

Ti knee pucks, I wish! The sparks would be cool, but that material is not durable at all. I wore right through the slider on my first session on the track. You can see my duct tape slider in the 2nd pic. I even cut an 1.5" off my pegs this time to try to get my big feet tucked in farther. Definitely need more work on my body positioning so I get a knee down first... |

The bags are awesome! I mounted them up for my big trip to Montana. Put on 2,116 miles on in blasting heat. EFI took a minute or two to figure out what was going on while riding Bear Tooth Pass (elevation 10,000ft), but otherwise, she was cherry!

Everything but the blasting heat sounds great Trish I believe you have received a package from Mr. Canfield as well! Tell us more about your trip-days, routes, stuff that happened along the way, oh and pictures! |

Yup, I had a tee shirt waiting for me in my PO box--great surprise to come home to!! Was that from you, Court? I was tickled to receive a package from "Team Elves"! Many thanks! So here is my story...hope I don't get in trouble for putting on this thread--it's per Scott's request! Our trip originated because a friend of mine is really big into hillclimbing, so he wanted to take a trip to Billings for the big one. I'd never seen a hillclimb before, but was certainly up for revisiting Montana via Buell! We rode from Mankato, MN to Piedmont, SD the first day. We pulled under the awning for the campground we were staying at just as it started to downpour--we had skirted around it all afternoon. It turns out there was a lightning strike from the storm that started a brush fire and the following day (after we left) they had to evacuate the campground as the whole damn hill (small mountain) burned up! Again, nice timing. The second leg of the trip was when it got so bloody hot my wedding ring burned a blister into my finger. Youch! I rode it out in my leather jacket, gloves and full-face helmet, even though I was ready to strip down to the photo contest outfit. When we got to Billings, we set up a tent and drank down many beers, and boy, was that nice! Whew, it was a long two days of riding for me. (What are you iron butt riders on?!!?) The following day we rode up to Bear Tooth Pass, which was quite an experience. I white knuckled it for the first 10 switchbacks, staring down the edge of the mountain and only seeing treetops, but after a bit I eased up and got a feel for it. Pretty breathtaking scenery from the seat of the Buell at 10,000ft. I wish I had a video camera I could rig up on the bike! We did 300 miles through the mountains that day. The following two days we spent at the hillclimb, which really made me wonder what sort of insurance policies those guys carry! The workers on the hill would throw big huge J hooks to catch the bikes but it doesn't always work out as planned; we saw one bike come crashing all the way down the hill only to be caught by the board they put behind the riders to catch the dirt. Nuts! It was ~105 degrees both days of the hillclimb with no shade, so by the second day we just gave up and decided to get plowed and watch people do some crazy sh*t on a steep mountain of ash. That seemed to be a great plan until a windstorm blasted in from outta nowhere--then all of a sudden there was huge dealer tents flying through the air like tumbleweeds! It only lasted about 20 minutes, but it was pretty nuts. The following day we had to begin our journey home, which is always the worst part of a trip. It was much cooler then, though, so the riding was definitely more bearable. And that was my trip. Lots of great memories. |

Funny you should mention that, Dark ninja, because I checked the Storm Fronts to see if there were any riders in the area and I didn't see anything. Dammit! Sounds like it may become an annual trip, though. Next time! |
