Fortunately, Blake and another friend arrived before my race. Just having someone to take care of tire warmers and wheel stands takes a big load off. Keith

Keith, what class are you racing in? I think Derek may want to run his 9 too. How did you fare in the race? I at first was thinking of running in Superstock. But after hearing so much about the novice racers in that group, I think I may be better suited to be the slow guy who's predictable in Superbike...at least in the beginning anyway. It's all just for run; nothing I can take too seriously with Emma now in the picture. Bart, you hit the nail on the head on all points imo. I want to see Arlovski/Silvia 4, but only AFTER they both have enough fights with others to gain their confidence to bang back. I hate to say it, but it looks like Arlovski may have lost that killer edge. And Silvia is fighting too "smart" for it to be a good show: step, step, juke, punch, repeat. And yes, Wanderlei is gonna whoop up on Chuck. He's a whole other kind of animal that's yet to be seen in the Octagon. I can't wait! |

I placed second out of 12 in Clubman (what a perfect name for class for Buell riders!). In regards to looking though the turn, that might be a bad idea. The turn is behind me! In that photo, I am exiting Turn 2. Keith |

Keith, where did you get your belly pan? |

Dago, You'll likely be running against the same exact folks in C-Supersport, Superstock, and Superbike. Most of the guys run the same bike in all three classes. They will put on slicks for the classes that allow them. What you might consider is entering the B- (750cc) or A- (1000cc) class races, or the Formula 1 race. |

Paul (Cowtown), Dave Stueve hooked me up with the belly pan. Keith |

Keith, I hope you realize my initial comment was a sarcastic one. The first thing I noticed about the pic was how far ahead you're looking. Blake, thanks for the info. I really need to go to an event weekend to absorb everything first hand. It's ashame I'll be forced to waste a hall-pass watching and not riding. But oh well. |

Dago, Corner-working is a great experience and something you'll need to do anyway to obtain your license. Arrange your spot in advance and pick the corner of your choice. |

Silly me! I thought you were serious having never been on the track at Oak Hill. Oh well, no harm for sure! Blake is right, you will have to corner work before you can race. You will learn a lot just doing that. And, Blake and I can answer many of any questions that you might have. Remember, I raced an F3 before I set the XB up for the track. Keith |

I'm thinking you need to put a couple of BadWeb stickers on either side and on the very bottom of that belly pan. It would be cool if the only time you could see them was at lean. Corner work: knocking out several birds with one stone. Check. |

Hi, I hope I'm not posting in the wrong spot. I've been lurking since early winter and am soon to purchase a XB12X. I live in North Dallas and have three Buell dealerships within a reasonable distance. The Corinth location is probably the most convenient and seems to do some Buell volume. I understand the Allen location sponsors BRAG, which earns them brownie points. The folks in Garland seem friendly enough. Any recommendations, good or bad experiences, etc? I'd like to give my money to a dealer that is friendly, committed to customer satisfaction, intends to continue selling and supporting Buells for quite some time, and has good Buell mechanics on staff. Price is important but, a few hundred dollars this way or that isn't a big deal. Thanks. |

Based on what I've read so far, I'm taking mine to Allen for service the next time I need it. PM me and we'll get you set up for TNT membership! |

Go to Allen. Listen to Chris. He always knows best. They rebuilt my entire motor (and a few other things) after it went south last year and had it back to me in less than 10 days. |

Allen! I took my bike to Corinth, told them I suspected a loose sprocket nut and gave them the service bulletin. After 2 weeks of telling me they can’t determine nothing’s wrong they told me to come get my bike. I picked it up and took it straight to Allen. 3 days later they called me, said the sprocket nut was loose, it's repaired and I could come get it. Covered by warranty of course. |

Any pics from the weekend's ride to Arkansas? Dago, Keith has expressed that very intent, if I recall correctly. |

Chris, Dago, Cowtown. Thanks for the responses. Sounds like the Allen location is the one to do business with. I took a look at the Thunderbikes of North Texas site. It's nice having such an active BRAG club. I'll definitely be joining. Just the sort of thing to get me off the couch and onto the bike. It'll be next weekend before I can get over to the dealer and get on their '07 waiting list. I'm hoping to take delivery prior to the prime riding weather. Thanks again. |

I have a geography question. Near the city of Ranger there is a steep incline with a huge elevation change on I-20 called Ranger Hill. Is Ranger Hill west or east of the city of Ranger? Or if you prefer is the city of Ranger at the top or bottom of the hill. |

The belly pan came from Dave Stueve (pronounced stevee) @ 920.757.1651. Ask for Dave in sales. Keith |

BTW, you may want Dave to hook you up with a set of Nissin 804 brake pads. The grip is awesome and I did not experience brake fade going into Turn 2 at OHR like I have with some of the other pads. Keith |

Brake fad in Turn#2 is how you go faster, Right? For you, yes. For me, pucker! Probably not any time soon. The construction project is keeping us very busy. Tell Dave that I sent you... Keith (Message edited by skully on July 25, 2006) |
