So I finally got the D&D full system on the X1. Little did I know I would set off car alarms and soil my knickers every time I twist the juice. This thing is ridiculous. Amen. |

I have a question on this. My Vance and Hines ate itself alive and is now a hollow can. is this as loud as a D&D kit and can i still run the bike with basicaly a straight pipe on it (i've put my stock exhaust back on and hate the way it runs)??? any info is good info. |

don't run the v&h without a baffle, the excessive vibration will shake that muffler right off the bike. on the v&h the baffle performs 2 functions, noise reduction and vibration control. for racing applications there is a racing baffle for that muffler, it's freer flowing and rated at 105db |

that would explain why the rear mount on the can broke off the can. damn...just have to wait till i get cash for a D&D. |

i used the race baffle for a couple weeks but, by the time i installed it it was too late the front and rear mounts crapped the bed! i guess they changed the db ratings in the last few years, i bought it from a local aftermarket supplier after using cheap fiberglass packing that came out the first day. the race baffle would've worked out well had i not run the whole summer baffless. i am much happier with the force however. i posted the replacement part numbers in the kv at one point but i can't seem to find it, i'll keep looking it may still be in the parts unlimited catalog. |
