Race weekend at Cresson this weekend. I'll be in Dallas delivering Mom to the airport (DFW) tomorrow morning. Anyone up for meeting me at the track to watch the endurance race and wander the pits causing trouble? Fri 06/09 - LSTD Track Day and CMRA Rider's School Sat 06/10 - Mini Sprints / 2 HR Mini End / 6 HR CMRA Endurance Sun 06/11 - Sprints Then first weekend of July at OHR... Fri 06/30- LSTD Track Day and CMRA Rider's School Sat 07/01 - Mini Sprints / 6 HR Mini Endurance Sun 07/02 - Sprints I'm not too motivated to go racing in the inevitable heat of Summer this go round. But I'll probably go out and spectate an again, cause trouble in the pits. Let me know if you are interested in meeting up. |

Today is out. Y'all should check out the sprint races Sunday afternoon though. You'll likely see a future roadracing star. Ben Spies and Colin Edwards and Nicky Hayden were all CMRA racers. And of course Kevin Schwantz. |

TNT June ride report: Micah "Slowride", Chris "HagXB12", Dan "Lootenantdan1203", and I rode the SW route on Saturday, June 17. We met at HDD in Allen at around 9am, and when we left at 10am the weather didn't look too promising. Dale (owner of HDD) helped us make the decision to ride when he pulled up the current radar, showing the rain dissipating. We felt a few sprinkles on the way down to Longhorn HD, and a few more when we got there. But, looking to the SW, we actually saw blue sky WAAAAAAY off in the distance. At 11am, we decided to chance it, and boy are we glad we did! The sky cleared up at about 11:20 and once the roads dried out (maybe 20 minutes later - we had to be very cautious for awhile), the riding was GREAT! We stopped and did the obligatory lunch at Hammond's BBQ in Glen Rose and headed home. We were dirty, full, and tired, but totally satisfied. Thanks, guys, for a great day! |

Hey Steve! Will you be at the track in two weeks? Nice report Chris. Would your group feel like converging on East Texas for a couple day so of riding and racing out here in September? |

Hey Blake, I will not be at OHR in two weeks. my days with racing have come to an end. It simply got to big for my liking, though I would like to see you and Keith, it will have to be on a track day there, I will let you and Keith know the next time I am in town. Maybe we can get that Buell of yours out to the Hill, now that would be fun! |

Yeah, it's possible. We have rides scheduled for September 16 AND 17. PM me to let me know what you have in mind, and we'll see if it fits into our plans. I was out that way with Bart a couple of weeks ago (not as far east as you - we were still west of Tyler, but found a few decent twisty roads there). |

Nothing in particular, just that if anyone would like to come out and see some racing and ride I'd be up for helping out. I may do some corner working so instead of just causing trouble in the pits I can wreak havoc on the track too. |

Alex, What part of the metroplex did you move to. There is a local BRAG chapter "Thunderbikes of North Texas", the sponsoring dealership is in Allen. |

Alex, Good news, you live in the middle of the metroplex, so you’ll be an equal distance from where ever we ride. Bad news, you’ll be an equally long distance from where ever we ride. TNT has scheduled a long ride on Sunday every other month. Here’s the link www.thunderbikes.org look for the calendar button at the top. The next Sunday ride is July 16th. |

If there is interest in meeting for an evening, we have several options. I just have to know in advance so I can ride to work. Welcome to the DFW Metroplex, Alex! We look forward to meeting and riding with you. |

Good day all, I was thinking about a mid morning till mid afternoon ride tomorrow that will take me south and west of the Brazos. I rode some roads last Saturday in that area and half of them I liked and half I didn’t. I routed a new ride that will leave out the parts I didn’t like and includes some new roads I want to check out. I’m going to ride 2-up with my wife, so I’ll be cruising between 33-3500 rpms. If anyone is interested email me before 4:30 today or call me anytime. The ride will be about 200 miles from SW Fort Worth. |

I was curious if any of the DFW Buellers are UFC fans. If so would anyone like to meet up to watch the fight Saturday night? I am going to Fox & Hound (off of Skillman & 635) to see Ortiz beat Shamrock and I am hoping to have some other Buellers there to BS with. BTW the way in case you are using mapquest the actual address is 10051 Whitehurst Drive , Dallas, TX 75243 Later, Bart |

I was a Ken Shamrock fan from back in his WWF days (He must be 100 years old now). If I can get a kitchen pass from the wife I may stop in. What time does it Start and end so I can give her an idea. |

The undercard matches begin at 9:00 PM. I am not sure what order they will be going in but typically the main event is the third or fourth match. So I would figure 10:30-11:00. BTW I know you don't know me from Adam but I am glad you are home. Later, Bart |

As newlyweds Michele and I lived in an apartment on Whitehurst Drive. The good old days, no money, still in school, motorcycle as only means of transportation. |

Hey DFW Buellers, I'm disappointed that none of you stopped by the DarkHorseMoto paddock last Sunday at Oak Hill Raceway.
It was located at Turn 1 in an area known as "Laguna Blaka". Keith |

What was up with that Arlovski/Silvia fight? I surely didn't expect to see a fight like that. I would have liked to see the ref keep the Ken/Tito fight going for another few seconds. I can remember seeing Ken explode out of situations like one more than one occasion in the past. Keith, sorry nobody showed. I too was alone at the track this last weekend. So don't feel bad. |

Frank Mir needs to hang it up. IMO Arlovski and Silvia showed that neither was very confident against the other, not a good showing. As far as the stoppage by Herb Dean, well it is a bit "iffy". There were five unanswered blows that were not being defended against. At the same time knowing Shamrocks history of taking a lot of punishment just to get back to his feet makes me feel that the call could go either way. The thing that makes me wish it would have continued is the bad blood between the two and the fact that it was not squashed. BTW Wanderlei Silva is going to take Chucks title. Then maybe that will open the door for Fedor and CroCop. |
