Hey guy's,i'm ready for saturday morning.I got an e-mail from uhh,Dave?? in Cumberland who's planning a long ride around rt.2? I believe that's up north massachusetts and i'm really not interested in a lot of highway miles.Something about rts. 9,7,+2. If the majority is into it i may do it.Otherwise,Eric i'd be into a variation of the Tri-state ride we did last week.Maybe a little less north(sutton) and maybe some of the cool twisties around RI Scituate reservoir, whatever. Eric,we could do Lowells again. You mentioned something else which is fine by me if you want.Lemme know,we should "talk" regards,Greg |

ducxl--------i got the same email also from Dave (xbdave9s). i don't know about rt. 9 & 7, but rt.2 is a blast. only went a couple times but it was a fun road for sure. if a bunch of bikes go it may be fun. if not i am up for the tri-state option also. gansett--------we meet at lowells around 7:30-8:00 for breakfast and off to ride from there. couple of stops in between. just got my clutch cable in today.(day early) think i may go toss it on and test it out. bike show tonight i may go to. see all the harley/biker posers..lol greg i will call ya tonight or tomorrow after work. gansett you can call me or greg or i will post here on what happens. |

Hey guys, the ride I emailed Eric and Greg about is being planned by a friend of mine who will be on a newer gsxr 600, his buddy who will be on an old katana 1000, my other friend on an 03 r6, and myself on my buell. A few more buell's would be great. Last i heard were meeting the guy on the katana in sutton at 10 am. e-mail or call if anyone is interested 401-651-4643 (cell). Dave |

AAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!! so i get my new clutch cable today and decide to install it. no problem get it all together ..real easy to do. adjust it and pull in the clutch....WTF????? REAL HARD PULL...so apart it comes and i look inside...sitiing in the clutch pack is a piece of my primary cover that the clutch arm rests against. this sucks!!!! looks like i need to search for a new/used primary cover now. won't be ridding saturday unless one appears quickly. any one have an extra one? |

NNNEEEWWWWW YYYYOOOORRRRRKK! Whoa, sorry dudes,i don't have that kind of ambition.Maybe some other time sorry to hear of your primary issues Eric. You'll probably need to order that part, possibly in stock nearby but, you'll be looking at about $200,crap,that's too bad. |

well,Precision HD are the only dealer with one on the shelf.Too bad though because it is satin finish.#25542-04 and $220. Either part(#25521-02) costs the same. You'll have to order the black wrinkle one which will take a few days'.I'll otherwise ride with the 'ole lady. OOOOrrrrrr,Gansett??? |

i HATE precision so they won't be getting any of my cash. i'll PAY EXTRA first. same goes for sheldons. i know...i am still bitter from when i was looking for a bike and how i was treated at these places. i can hold a grudge a long time i guess.but really they should treat people w/ 8K in there pocket a little nicer when they are looking to buy a bike. anyways if nothing pans out by monday i will call daveS or AL and have one priority mailed to me. see ya next weekend for a ride/breakfast. i think i need another bike is what this all comes down to. lets see what buell has for 2007 and i'll go from there. i was thinking of getting a beater to learn some tricks on. well see how this all goes. |

duc, We figure the ride will last most of the day and will be stopping for lunch and other breaks as needed, if the ride gets overwhelming we will alter the route on the fly. I rode to laconia for bike week and it wasn't that bad. as far as highway riding, I'm don't care for alot of highway riding and usually ride back roads. with all that being said, I'm not the one who mapped this trip so i don't want to mislead you. If you think you can make it the invite is still open, call me on my cell. Eric, Did you order your primary cover? What about Daves? I was hoping you could ride with us saturday Dave |

waiting for an email from a BWB who may have one for sale if the price is right. i don't think i will make it as i will NOT give any local dealers my cash..it's a principle thing for me on that. i have some other stuff to do to the bike this weekend since it is down. change fork/trans/motor oils, new LBC brake pads, re-torque the flywheel sprocket, new spark plugs, maybe wires, touch up paint on headers/ muffler etc. etc. thinking i may change my clutch while i'm in there...i do alot of burnouts and it takes a beating. looks like the bike will be hanging from the rafters in the shed this weekend for some maintenance. |

Eric, I fully understand the not wanting to give the local dealers your money. When precision wanted $108 to reset my tps after buying the bike, the seat, the race ecm, and the race filter within a years time I was ticked off. the guy in service tried to say it was more than just hooking up the computer. I bought the software and did it my self for $195. now I can reset whenever I'd like. I'd like to support a local dealer who supported us and treated us the right way but, haven't found that dealer yet. Sorry for th rant, i think it is still an open wound. off to work now. hope you get the parts for a good price. Dave |

looks like 100.00 shipped is going to be the deal. so i will be up and running by next weekend. i hear ya on the dealers. tps resets are a joke..should be for free. i can do them in like 10 minutes. takes longer to get my laptop out of the house and to the shed than to actually do the reset. local dealers are CROOKS!!! that is why they get the big ol' from me. my bike will sit before they TAKE my hard earned cash. i guess my wounds are still open to and the salt burn has not gone away yet also. oh well..they are easy to work on and it makes you work on them so i don't need them...and i know it is done right as i don't cut corners and i make sure it is done right the first time. to many horror stories about dealers messing it up and not taking responsibility for there workmanship. ...........wow what a rant..i am sooooo bitter....i will stop now...HEY ENJOY THE RIDE GUYS!!! IT SHOULD BE KILLER OUT THIS WEEKEND!!! TEAR IT UP!!! |

Oh and BEFORE ANYONE BRINGS THEIR BIKES TO PRECISION FOR WORK OR FOR ANYTHING ELSE PLEASE TALK TO ME FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are a bunch of rude a$$ hacks that know nothing about Buells. I had to fix my bike after they "worked" on it. Never again will they get a penny from me. |

Happy to hear you guys had a good ride. I got out on Sunday, but working Saturday was not fun. In other sad news, the Buell was sold on Saturday afternoon. I put her out in front of my house on Saturday and by the time I got back that evening. I had several offers. One happy individual is the now the owner of my black blast. I gave him the heads up about the site and told him about the cool people here. I am sure you local guys will see him riding around on my old bike. |
