My speedo is acting weird. It does not register any speed until I am going about 30mph, then jumps up to about 20 and seems to track engine RPM and not speed. It goes up and down with engine rev's. I see in the knowledge vault that this is an old problem, there are lots of solutions, take the speedo off ignition power, add an inductor, a diode, extra ground wire to the voltage regulator. What's the collective thinking now days, what should I do? Just replace the sensor or is there another culprit? Thanks, Den

check the wiring, first make sure that nothing is chafed and shorted

check the ground for the front (ask me how I know)
check the sensor, YOU have one to borrow? for a sub test?

I will check the ground to the speedo and the voltage regulator too. The speedo completely died at lunch, otherwise everything seems normal.
