The D207 was replaced by the D208. The D208 was replaced by the Qualifier. The Qualifier is supposed to have finally caught up with the competition having a higher silica compound and such. |

That's good to know. I'm happy with it so far...I will, however, go back to an 80/20 type tire the next time around. I may try the Pirelli Synchs. I've read a lot of good comments on this forum about them. Supposed to be a beaut of weekend. Anyone riding? |

I had the Pirelli Synchs on my CityX stock, they were good tires. I got over 8000 miles on them (but I really wasn't pushing them too hard). I am thinking of riding on Sunday, maybe we can make it a buell ride! |

Sunday may work for me as well. I have 3 tons of river rock to move from the street to my back yard tomorrow...the manual way, 50 lbs at a time in a wheel barrow! I'll probably be looking for an excuse to not do any "work" on Sunday after that. |

Do you guys want to meet up somewhere on Sunday? We could just meet at sonic at jordan and 72 at 10am if you want. Or just let me know what works better. |

Nope, me and three others went up to Lynchburg, had lunch, then back home by about 2:30. I just got finished mowing the lawn when the first raindrops started falling. By the way, Stone mountain HD is sponsoring a buell track day at Barber on July 8 and 9 if any of you are intrested. I am going to try to get registered for Saturday. They are doing it through personaltracktime.com. |

Do you know if the clothing/safety requirements are any less stringent than other track time orgs? I personally do not own 1 piece (or 2 piece for that matter) leather riding suit. I do have proper riding gear but it's nylon and nearly that sleek... |

PTT.com allows nylon for novice IIRC. |

Well taking my first long trip tomorrow on the Uly. Going to head to Chicago. 911 miles one way. I can't wait to see how it handles and how my butt last. I'll let you guys know how it goes. |

Have a safe trip! Sounds like fun! On another note, it looks as though Rocket HD is trying to boost a bit of Buell interest. I went by there yesterday, and to my suprise I found that they have made a Buell display area right up front in the showroom. They had about 5 or 6 Ulys, and 3 XBs on display. No more hiding back in the corner!! This is hopefully a new trend for them that will continue. |

GL Buelltoys and enjoy. The Uly was a real dream on our trip to Myrtle Beach and back, so I think you'll enjoy the trip. You're doing the whole 911 in one day? RA- I rode by the other day and saw 3 or 4 of them out front on display..first time I've seen that. I've not stepped foot in there since the Service fiasco though. |

Well an update on the trip! Didn't go as planed. Not more then a mile away from the house on a corner I ride every day I low sided it. Not real sure if I low sided or just went straight of the road but it landed on it's side. Not thinking straight and thinking about seeing my boys and lost it. I'm fine with the exception of a bruised back and arm. A couple bruises on my knees. Could have been worse!! I'll post picks of the bike when I get them to a good size. The bike survived well the windscreen is gone, blinker gone, mirrors gone, both levers gone and the throttle is stuck on full. Engine runs and no other body damage. The bags took a licking and still work fine scratched but all three latch and still latch to the bike. Go to the dealer during the week to get them working on it to get it fixed. Will say one thing, like many people here do!! Always ride with gear!!! Had on helmet and fieldsheer jacket both held well. Only had on blue jeans but I landed in grass so not bad. Have a set of armor pants that will be worn more often now. I'll post picks when i get them. Brian |

Man, I don't know what to say. Glad you are okay...sorry 'bout the uly. I guess it could have been work. Sounds like mostly cosmetic damage. I've read that the uly is a tank and takes a smacking pretty good...guess you just proved it. Again, glad to hear you are okay. Sorry you didn't get to see your boys. |

Hey everyone. Sorry its been a while. I had a switch of jobs. I'm now full on as a Rider's Edge instructor at Rocket H-D. I also work the administrative section as an assistant, motorcycle rentals, and the parts department. I realize the parts support for Buells has been horrible at Rocket, that is something I am attempting to rectify. The sales team is really pushing for the Buells. They had 12 bikes UP FRONT on the showroom, a new display, and they are displayed out in front of the store. Since they are selling more bikes (the Uly's have disappeared at an amazing rate), I have leverage to see some changes in our favor. If you have some suggestions, or want to stop by to say hey-go for it. Cheers |

Edonis, Great news, and congrats on the new job!! Maybe we can get some interest in a Brag group?? I would be interested. I will drop by some time next week during lunch and say hey. I am getting close to my 10k service. So far the changes are good!! Send my regards to the ones responsible for the positive change! On another note: Anyone know who rides the Red xb12s (I am guessing it is a 12?) around town?? I have seen him in the harvest area a couple of times, and again yesterday on 72 in madison near Nance heading east. |

Hey guys, sorry about the delay in getting back to you Cody. It looks like there will be a group heading out from Midway cycles. They will be meeting at 10am. Midway Cycles is on 72 about 100 yards west of county line road. It sits back off of 72 a bit, and is right next to the used car/junk yard. There is a white sign on 72. I had emailed a couple other buellers in the area, and it sounded like this was not a good weekend for everyone due to work schedules and whatnot. So maybe we can try for another. I am on call next weekend, but I may be able to get out for a short ride on Sunday. I am thinking of forgoeing the sunday ride this week in favor of mini-motard racing (that stuff is WAY too much fun). But Cody, if your dad wants to go ride with the group, he is more than welcome to join them. That really goes for anyone else as well. HAVE FUN!! Russ |
