Now you've got me to thinking...I hope it is in the "right direction"! It could have been one of those, "If I told you I would have to kill you!" kind of things. jimidan (Message edited by jimidan on June 28, 2006) |

They probably meant the Street Rod. Someone in Holland has been racing a Street Rod, I have the pictures somewhere. here's what they say about it
quote:The Ducati's and other "race-twins" are a lot quicker on the track, about ten seconds on a 3.3 mile track. But this is mainly too show that The Streetrod is not a push over like they think it is. On the straits the Bike really performs with 160 bhp at the rear wheel. We showed that the Buells are very competative in cornering. So the only thing we need too do is mixing those two consepts together.

So Jos'e, you still have the V-Rod right? Other than the obvious exhaust what did they do to the Street Rod in the pic to make it "raceable". I see the forks are changed. So a reasonable low cost competitive racer again? |

Looks like some Ohlins piggyback shocks in the rear. Handlebars, controls, some fancy Brembo braking bits, front fender and some wheels. Cool pic of a fully faired vrod at the salts http://www.superkazracing.com/images/galo.html looks pretty good with a firebolt fairing also http://www.superkazracing.com/kaz/professional/hcde/horst6.html Definetly not the prefered wheelbase of a road racer though. |

Anony sez: "Nope, wrong way again, jim & JS" Jimi: Dang! Jose...I like that Rod...it looks bad! 160 RWHP too...are you ready boots? Jscott: "Cool pic of a fully faired vrod at the salts". Doesn't it look like a Hayabusa? I think so. Jimidan |

So the Buells are still faster on the salt too then . I suppose though... Juice vs. Boost. |

Kaz's Vrod is definitely NOT a Hayabusa.Turboed Vrod so no juice on his. Just an aftermarket fairing, probably Airtech. And Aaron's Buell is still faster by a little. |

Kaz is an odd guy. Last year at vrod forums rally in KC, he sprayed a nitrous bottle into his intake and blew up the engine b/c he wanted to have the highest hp sooo bad. The bike is pretty cool in person though. |
