As you can see i have leather stains all over the frame! It looks really bad in my eyes.... I guess it's my new Arlen Ness leather pants that loves the black paint on the frame.... Does anyone have any idea how to get rid of it? Just plain car shampoo don't work!! Neither does wax with rubbing!! I'm sure you guys have seen it on your bikes as well? |

Are sure it is a residue from the pants and not where the leather has "polished" the paint? Glad you posted this though because I am trying to decide on Draggin' Jeans or leather pants as we speak. With my frame being silver it would be much more noticeable. |

My boots make leather marks, and below that-rubber marks. I use a little bit of lighter fluid drops on a paper towel. Followed by a quick rinse. Don't know if that will work for you or not. Too me it also looks like polishing, but very hard to tell with this photo, can you get a better pic? |

weird...a degreaser might work like simple green or castrol super clean if ur feelin froggy careful of staining ..keep the black crinkle stuff wet.. that makes it harder to stain with the degreaser. |

If the leather would have polished the paint it sure does a better job than the rubbing/wax that i have tried to remove it with.....The wax can't polish the frame because it's not a smooth surface... Guess it's a kind of powder coat? Maybe i can try some kind of alcohol?? Just don't want to destroy the paintjob.... |

The frame on my Firebolt is very similar. I rarely ride without a suit and the frame and airbox cover are scuffed to blazes. On my bike it looks like the leather has 'smoothed out' some of the texture on the grey powder coat. Similarly, the inside legs of my suit have taken on a curious satin grey finish which I can only presume is via contact with the frame. I have to say that this effect has taken about 10,000 miles to develop and I quite like it |
