Hello All, I'm thinking of buying an open airbox kit from American Sport Bike. My only concern is wet weather riding. Are there any problems with water being sucked into the engine during wet conditions? Thanks, Gregg |

I ran with a home-made version of that through some terrible conditions without a problem. I wouldn't worry about it. You'd probably have to submerge the bike to get a problematic amount of water in through the intake...and then you've got bigger problems. |

Like darthane said just about the only way you need to worry about it is complete submersion and as far as I know Buell isnt in the submarine market. I have been running the American Sport Bike Open Airbox for over a year (thanks Al for a great product) and have ridden in 3 hours straight of terential rain going from VT to NY and I had no problems except a dampened spirit. |

I've run 100+ in POURING rain, I've sat at street lights in pouring rain and I've had the bike most of the way up the primary (just over the pegs) in water. No problems. |
