They just developed the new swing arm on the 06 bikes and I doubt that they are going to create an entirely new bike. I would only look for an extension of the Firebolt similar to the Lightning long. If they were revealing something radically new and improved there would be some sort of leaking advertisement to attract people to the dealerships. You don't just go to the Chevy dealership and find out that they've released a new Tahoe do you? You know ahead of time what to expect. |

For example, we knew something like the Ulysses would be released a month prior even though it was only a cartoon sketched rendering of the bike. |

For example, we knew something like the Ulysses would be released a month prior even though it was only a cartoon sketched rendering of the bike. Rumors of the Ulysses were floating on advrider from about March 2005, but it turns out this was mostly due to a lucky guess by one poster. The "Own all the corners" "teaser" video went up at Buell a couple of weeks before the official release of the bike. Then a few people got motorcycle magazines (Cycle World IIRC) with a full-page ad for the Ulysses showing the cartoon rendering of the bike ~1 week before the official release. Buell didn't leak much at all ahead of time. No reason to expect anything different this year. I think you can make a logical argument either way: (a) last year was a big year with the release of two new models so don't expect much this year or (b) last year was a big year with a HIGHLY successful new model which got lots of new customers into Buell showrooms and sold lots of new Buells to rider's who'd never given the brand a second glance. Building on this success Buell introduces a couple more new models/new engine/big improvements in 2007. We'll find out in ~3 weeks. |

With the stuff H-D is announcing this year, I sure hope Buell plans on doing something. It will make the Buell area a little boring at the show otherwise. H-D is making a lot of changes to some of their models and the prices are staying close to the same. I expect Buell will be doing something similar. Their public roll out of new models at MotoGP would seem like a waste of time/money to me if they are showing the same crop of bikes to race fans. XB's are not race reps by any means. Plus, why would they have the director of test engineering there if not to answer questions about something new? |

I heard from a reliable source that BMC was going to start making choppers in an effort to stop do it yourselfers from cutting up the older bikes. |

Diablobrian, Don't you mean All Wheel Drive? Talk about owning all the corners, in any weather, on any surface. Then there's the James Bond edition, with deployable oil slick and rockets behind the headlights for when someone passes you. And the passenger ejection seat. And spinners. And windshield wipers. And headlight wipers. And a spare tire. etc. |

Nope, front wheel drive. Imagine the rolling stoppies! I guess power wheelies would be harder to do though. |

Buell didn't leak much at all ahead of time True. But thanks to CycleWorld, the BWB board got a 14 hour "head start" on the official announcement of the Uly last July. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142838/129228.html Here's hoping we can do it again this July 14th. |

Do any Buell personal post on this forum? Would be nice to have someone from Buell comment in some 07 stuff. I still say 6 speed trans will be the big news. |

Hey, the deployable oil slick works. Just ask Carlos/M2NC and Brankin/1313. Brankin can tell you how it works and Carlos can tell you how effective it can be. |
