I finally decided to have my Cyclone inspected. I think I've been "legal" about 5 seasons in the last 30. I had the mechanic give the bike an "eyeball overhaul", he asked me if I had cleaned the pistons in the brake caliper, etc. He told me that whatever I do, I should NEVER sell this bike. |

Dumb question, but legal for what??? And what made it not legal??? I wish someone would tell me to Never sell this one...I am getting tired of people telling me that I should sell and get a Street Rod... (Message edited by Essthreetee on June 23, 2006) |

Silas_clone -- by chance are you going to the Smokeout this weekend? Several of the guys from C3 are heading that way. We've had several new members show up on C3 Carolina Corner Carvers, come over and visit before football seasons takes you over again! Kristi |

Ess, I keep forgetting that I am not in 1977 anymore. Back then, "legal" meant "passed inspection". Most of the time, most of my friend"s bikes could not pass inspection for lack of mufflers, front brakes, fenders, horns, mirrors, handlebar or front end lengths, turn signals, or all of the above. My bikes usually lacked most but this one is legal. Ulywife, where is it? I am renting a backhoe for a Sunday session of digging french drains for the exact same reason. |

Silas - the smokeout is in Salsbury at the county fairgroud. It starts tonight and runs through Saturday evening. If you take I-85 South to Julian Road, exit 74, take left off exit, should be 1/2 mile down road on the left. Carlos' cell is 252-939-6407, call if you can make it out. I know at least 3-4 from C3 are going and staying with one of the guys out in that area. Carlos will be on his red M2. Kristi |
