I left this past Thursday for a trip to Lake Placid NY, from North Jersey. It was approximately 290 miles one way and we did about 200-300 miles while there, over the course of 3 days. It was beautiful there and the riding all around the area was awesome. It was quite a mix of bikes; a Buell XB9SX, a BMW 1200GS, and 2 Harley's. Thats me crouching.

Great pic sounds like an awesome trip . I would love to take a trip like that on my bike with the wife . Maybe this year !!!!

Lake Placid is a long ride up, but the riding there is well worth it, not to mention the scenery, which is ridiculous.
Mike-I will definitely be doing more riding up your way. However, I am a Real Estate Agent and work on the weekends, so I am always working when people are doing trips. I may be heading to Bear Mountain today if I can get a few things early.

By the way, that photo was taken at the summit of Whiteface Mountain and that is Lake Placid in the distance. I tried to post other pics but the files were too large.

Jhanz, what jacket/pants are you wearing? I can't decide on what jacket and/or pants to purchase. All I know is I want something "armored" but comfortable, but I may be asking too much...
