Does anyone here have any personal experience with Helimot products? I am seriously considering purchasing one of their suits and armor, but before I drop like 3000.00-3500.00 on a set of leathers and armour I would like to hear some opinions on them. TIA John |

John, Helimot is only a couple of miles from my house in San Jose, and I've been over there many times over the years. They make some of the best suits on the market. They are also a good place for gloves, boots, and back protectors. http://www.helimot.com/index.shtml There is another place in town that is equally good made from a guy that used to work for Helmut. His name is Juan Lindo. Considerably less expensive if cost is an issue. http://zoonileathers.com/indexi.html Jim |

They have #1 customer service and high standards for products they carry. I purchased some Held gloves from them a few years back. I was told they were actually moving away from that brand because Held was moving to cheaper produced products (produced in China, India or somewhere else) and they were unhappy with that. DAve |

I ended up purchasing a set of leather's from Zooni's Leathers who is Helimot's main competitor in the area. I was unable to afford the Helimot suit which would have been in the neighborhood of 2500-2800 for what I wanted. I did end up getting gloves, chest, and back protectors from Helimot though. That ended up being around 500.00 for those three items. Top notch stuff if you ask me. |
