I need some info on changing the front exhaust gasket on an 04' xb12s. I was riding to my girls house tonight, and I was just about to a stop sign and down shifted, and it blew out. I had a friend pick me up and bring me to her house (only a mile away). I have to do it tommorow(saturday) as I need to leave her house no later than 9am sunday morning, to be a work on time. Should i try and do it or just take it to the dealer. Also, does anyone have the parts number for it. Would a straight HD dealer carry this gasket(as in for one of their HD bikes). |

Is it just the two nuts on the front side and then it comes out or is there more to it? |

The hard part is that you need to get the header out of the way, and I dont think you will get enough room without loosening/removing the entire header. Someone on here might know of a trick. |

I sure hope there is a trick, If not I am gonna have to get a ride home from my buddy and take it to the dealer this coming week. Would this be covered under warranty? Guess all wouldn't be too bad tho, when I take it there I might as well have them do a TPS reset on the race ecm I have never put in yet. |
