What about the dealer teams? Trev Deely's? Hals? Cronrath's team? Anonymous? Isn't showing up to the races part of the development cycle? |

I asked this question a while back, and heard nothing but silence. Ditto for Laguna Seca. |

AMA's @thewire Live does not have any Buells listed currently for Formula Xtreme practice. Snore! |

FastBuells.com / Millville H-D / Classic H-D (Innovative)'s Hauler is still at the shop in NJ not in Utah. I believe they will be at Laguna Sega! |

Man, it's hard for them to get better when they don't even compete. Hopefully we'll see some at Laguna Seca. |

Laguna and Mid-Ohio rounds are the ones to attend to see McWilliam from what I've heard. |

Sounds like Buell/HD has just given up on this FX deal! What a shame I was going to go to Daytona next year just to see em run. This sucks Red |

Jetbuilder, you can count to see RR´s racing in Daytona next year. Jens |

Jens sez: "Jetbuilder, you can count to see RR´s racing in Daytona next year. Jens" Really? Do you have some insider info that the Anonies on this board do not have? None of them have committed to anything more than this year at Laguna Seca. With the status of the program right now it doesn't sound like anyone can make a prediction like that. The money is gone. I certainly hope there will be a factory effort at Daytona next year, but as everyone knows on here by now...I am but a dreamer. jimidan |

The money isn't exactly gone, there just was never a lot of it. The XBRR is in its own way a big program for Buell, and we counted on dealers picking up on the actual racing program once Daytona was over. We also weren't planning on the problems that happened at Daytona, and we intended to have the bikes in dealers' hands in April originally -- it now looks like June for the vast majority of them. That goes a long way to explaining why there are no RRs at Miller. Expect a turnaround within the month. Racing, like war, is a great example of reality continually slapping you in the face: "No war plan survives the first encounter with the enemy." You adjust, you learn, and you get better. The RR has gotten faster everytime we've had it on a track -- even for a club race. McWilliams had a short list of changes required to put the bike on the podium after Infineon, and every single one of them is being worked on. Daytona '07 is definitely on our minds -- as is Laguna '06. But more importantly, the learning from the program is tremendous. There are things discovered from the RR that will be translated into production, though what they are may not be as obvious as a new engine. There is nothing that accelerates engineering development more than racing or a war. Of the two, I'll take racing. |

I'm sure Jens, as part of the German team at Daytona probably has a little insight into what that team intends to do next year Hope to see you there again Jens! |

Yeah, all Suzukis are slow and unreliable. Just look at their flagship racing series. lets see, comparing FX to ASRA/CCS is kinda the same as MotoGP to AMA right? (Message edited by diablobrian on June 18, 2006) |

So who made the go/no-go decision at Miller? The factory or Trev Deely/Hal's/Warr's? |

M1 COMBAT sez: "IMO... You're dense. Yeah... I mean "Not exceedingly bright". Think first, then post." Bueller Than Thou, IMO, your posts are combative and you seem to resort to a lot of personal attacks, which is against the BADWEB rules. Why is this? Can't you tolerate it that folks have different opinions than yours without resorting to personal attacks? Certainly you can communicate on a higher plane than that! jimidan |

Ummm... He wasn't stating an opinion. He asked a question. That's different. The answer has been inferred multiple times in this very thread. /EDIT - OK, it was the motogp/BMW/McWilliams thread/ If he doesn't get it yet... That points to a level denseness or a stubborn mindset. He's already been told that the efforts of the XBRR are privateer efforts with some factory support. He has an answer but either refuses to accept it or can't see it for "some other" reason. Just my opinion... I have no problem at all with differing opinions. I even welcome them as they allow dialogue and expansion of ones own awareness. (Message edited by M1Combat on June 19, 2006) |

Trev Deeley/Hal's/Warr's made the decisions. They all have bikes, and it is up to them to decide which events fit their needs on an investment vs. return basis. It doesn't get any more private than that. |
