BTW, I just returned from Milwaukee for Rider's Edge training last week and the by-pass wasn't to bad going around Chicago. I went through, up and back, between 5 and 7PM both ways and the only delay was at the toll booth's. Otherwise, not really to bad. Ride Safe |

Thanks for helping Pauletta with info on where to advertise the 883. Figure that many of you are off at homecoming? I've finally been able to get some time in on the XB since moving here. Been down around Metamora, rode In.229 and In.121, and both are good roads, 229 especially. Gotta love any road that has signs telling trucks to find another route! Rode it in anger Tuesday morning. I have learned that the back roads around here can be treacherous! The house we're renting is on US 52 right next to the Big Blue River just west of Morristown and Blue River road winds along the river right across from our driveway. The first time I tore off down that road I about crashed in every corner! Slick worn out asphalt combined with this fine silt and some gravel thrown in for good measure almost makes the road no fun. I've been running the Neon up and down it trying to "sweep" it off some but I'm fighting a losing battle with the farm equipment that uses it. Any of you live up this way? I'm looking for some riding buddies? Dave |

Indy, I'm about 20 miles east of Indianapolis along US-52, about 11 miles north Shelbyville, and 6 miles south of Greenfield. Does that help? |

Just a reminder everyone, our BRAG meeting is this Saturday. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can have our first offical club ride of the year! Plus I'll be more than willing to "brag" about my conversations with Erik at Homecoming, if anyone wants to listen. |

hey everyone!!! as you may or may not know, harley davidson-buell of bloomington is sponsoring a sport bike weekend starting friday, june 30, and ending sunday, july 2. it was originally hoped that the weekend would be chosen as a part of the brag wicked twisty tour. unfortunately, those responsible chose not to take advantage of jeff's hospitality. however, the weekend is coming up, and we need to know how to plan. the event is open to all motorcycles and riders, regardless of brand. OPEN TO EVERYONE !!! do you have hard headed nonbuellers as friends? please invite them to come. any buellers who always threaten to come to one of our meetings but never do? this is their chance to come have some fun with us any or all of three different days. the purpose of the weekend is comraderie and chargin' around all of the great corners on all of the great roads of southern indiana. hundreds of miles of riding, lots of food and drink, new friends, and lots of lies(tall tales) friday starts with breakfast and a late morning ride. afternoon includes a cookout and vendor area, lots of performance and race bikes to check out, unlimited bench racing, and of course, an afternoon ride saturday begins with chow and proceeds to a full day of riding somewhere, stopping somewhere for lunch, and then rollin' again. the evening will be pre-registered dinner with door prizes and a silent auction to benefit our bradford woods charity. sunday culminates the weekend with a track day sponsored by our friendly local buell dealer. sportbike track time will handle all of the education and riding at putnam park all of this stuff takes a lot of planning. who out there is interested? which days? will you bring anyone along? other riders you know? this can be a great weekend, but the staff at hdbb needs to have an idea of how to plan according to predicted attendance. it is very important to the success of the event that we know who wants to be there. please contact ron hess at the dealership for questions and response to this notice........................thanks, eddie ronhess@indianaharley.com |

Pete, do you have a parts list and prices for everything it too to convert to the new belt and pulleys |

I dont have the part numbers. But I can tell you that you need both front and rear pulleys, belt (duh) idler wheel and assembly, front sprocket cover, and both top and bottom rear belt guards. The "Diamond Highlight" rear sprocket is about $40 cheaper than the stock sprocket. |

Anyone doing the USBA/HDB of Bloomington Track Day, there will be tire service at the track. A Michelin tire dealer will be there and you can purchase and have mounting and balancing completed. Openings are filling up so do not delay in getting registered as soon as possible. Go to www.rideUSBA.net for registration. As part of the Thunder Rally weekend we are doing breakfast, riding lunch, cook out and dinner on Friday and Saturday. Plan on attending and bring a friend. Go to www.IndianaHarley.com for the complete schedule. |
