Hey Portland Buellers, I am planning on buying a Buell and was wondering if there is a clearcut favorite as to which Harley dealership does better business with the Buell crowd. Who has the best knowledge of mechanics and parts associated with Buell? |

How do you define better business? I can't say much about the mechanics because I have all the tools & software to work on my own Uly. Buell is very easy to work on. Its not an airplane. I can say getting parts other than an oil filter for Buell seems to be like pulling teeth. From both of the PDX dealers. Need tires, exhaust, leathers or any non-Buell MC parts? Do your self and your budget a favor and call Dr. Brown MC. This old school racer dude sells new big name stuff for dirt cheap. 118ne 16th. Scary house but great prices. Tell him "give me a diet coke old man". |

Balls, I am partial to Paradise, partly because I work across the street from them. Latus dropped Buells for a couple years, though I heard they got back in. H & H Cycles has trained Buell mechanic who used to work for Paradise and does a good job a lot cheaper than the franchise. The only other Buell mechanic in the area is at Columbia Harley in Vancouver. As far as buying the bike, get it the cheapest you can. Check with the American Motorcycles in Albany too, they cut some good deals. |

Paradise, but I work there. Looks like you are in Salem - if you have problems we can pick up the bike and return it to you when it is done. Paradise also sponsors a BRAG club. |

Where does the BRAG club meet? Do they sponsor any local runs and or events? |

thanks for all the input guys. I just wanted to know which dealership would be best for service and parts if the need came up. I'm moving in july to portland and after the new models are unveiled I'll have to decide if i'm going to purchase a cityx or wait on a new model. however, the the new daytona 675 definitely deserves a look and test ride. It's hard to beat the looks, sound, and ingenuity of a XB though. P.S. Albany got out of the Buells |

The BRAG club meets the third Tuesday of the month, 7pm at the RAM restaurant in Lake Oswego, and we have a group ride that leaves from Paradise at around 10am the following Sunday. No runs or events sponsored right now, but if you want to work on one I will help out however I can. |

Hey WhitJ, look at the SPLASH thread in Storm Fronts too and come join us. It's unsponsored, but great fun. Then be prepared for Border Raid on Labor Day weekend. |

I need a rear pulley and belt anyone have these items? Thinking about changing back from chain drive, going through rear sprocket in like 2,500 miles. The S1 is currently for sale though as well, so it would have to be a cheap deal...lol...looking at buying a bike that is in Texas, just trying to work out all the details. |

Shotgun, Thanks for the invite. Correct me if I’m wrong but it sounds like a road trip to Mt. Saint Helens for the weekend on some slow and easy paced roads that could potentially be perfect for a Sunday rider and his Buell. Maybe a hint of some late night festivities as well? You’re twisting my arm. Ok… I’m in. |

Whitj, it can be what you want it to be. Slow or fast, long or short. This year including a Friday Oregon Ride as well. Come meet some of the nicest people I know. |

Latus is back into buell's, thats where I just got my xb12r from. If you do go there for service ask for Dan Dhonau he's a GREAT buell tech. |

That is not exactly how I would describe Splash but I guess Shotgun is correct. It can be anything you want it to be. If Latus is back into buells then how many Ulys did they have for sale while you were there? |

Well some low life piece of human detrius done stole my beautiful 12 yo son's Yama 80. I haven't had the heart to even tell him it's gone yet. If anyone has a small displacement bike of some type that a dad on unemployment might be able to afford, give me a post or a beep. (253) 383 2763. I just hate to be a hater, but I'd love to find this crud bucket putting around town. crap. On a somewhat more upbeat note, looks like I may see ya all at SPLASH. all my love tos yous, Galen |

Of course the day I schedule for the Advanced Rider Course it's supposed to be around 100 degrees. Well, I guess it's better than rain. Oh, and speaking of Triumph demos, for those in the Portland area, it's Triumph Days at PIR July 14-16th, with the Triumph Demo Truck in attendance as well. |

Shotgun, Betty needs ONE screw that is on back order at Hardly... should be here this friday, 6/24. After that just put the intake segments back together, injectors, air intake, bread box. Then just got to get the header back from the welder, (BOB) and wrestel that gizmo on. Never an easy ordeal. Dear BOB has been so busy that I haven't been able to get him on the telly to see if the powers of Prometheus have been able to seal the millions of cracks that I installed last year! This should get a laugh. I'm starting school to become a Chemical Dependency counceller. Pretty funny, I know. But sounds like a good new job avenue for yours trully. Maby I'll specialize in biker types! Anyway all of mine to all of yours. sooner, Galen |
