OK - reservation is made. Providing that we still have 13 people interested, it will be $42 per person for the weekend. Please mail the payment to Kristi Suarez, PO Box 1076, Grifton NC 28530. Not sure about Carlos and JimN, but Rebecca and I will be in something with 4 wheels and a CD player. That being said, we can plan to bring all the food, drinks and paper products that we will need for the weekend. Parking is limited at the cabin, but we can leave a truck/trailer at the rental agency if necessary. Need to take a poll of interest: Breakfast at the cabin? We can do a big breakfast on Saturday and bagels, muffins, etc. on Sunday. I'll bring OJ, coffee (decaf and regular), sugars/sweetners and creamers. Dinner - eat out or cook at the cabin? If cooking in, what do we want to eat? Munchies, drinks and beer preferences? I know we need some diet and caffeine free. I figure we'll poll beer choices and take the top 2 and pack the cooler. We'll plan on bringing toilet paper, paper towels, napkins and paper plates. If there are any other dietary needs/restrictions, please let me know. Also, if everyone will e-mail (suareznc5@earthlink.net) me your cell numbers, I will e-mail back a listing for everyone going on this adventure like we did for Daytona. At that time I'll also e-mail directions to the cabin. I've asked for early check-in if possible. We won't know until the Wednesday before we leave. I know it's early, but summer is busy and then school starts and October will be here before we know it. We have 1 air mattresses that we can bring along with 1-2 sleeping bags if needed. Anything I've forgotten? |

Sounds like you guys and gals are going to have a great fall weekend. I would like to join yall for a ride during the weekend, meet the crew, etc, I have a buddy getting married at Chetola (Blowing Rock) the same weekend so I will be up in the area. I've been on a lot of the roads around the area in a car while I was in school at ASU but not yet on my bike. I'm still honing my skills but should be able to keep up by then. |

The final payment for the cabin is due early September. For those still planning to go but have not sent a check yet, please do. We're still hoping for the $42 per person right now, that may change with the final headcount, but it shouldn't be by much. This is who I've received checks from so far. Twig - 1 Jlnance - 2 Xb9ser - 1 M2nc - 2 Thanks, Kristi |

It's Friday, October 6th through Sunday, October 8th. You still want the porch? Currently the cabin is open the day before our arrival, so we might be able to have early check-in! |

Rubberdown can have our space inside because it looks like we won't be able to come. I can't confirm and don't want to hold up the reservations. So don't count us in, if something changes we will take the porch. We hate not to come, but sometimes life interrupts fun. We're gonna miss you guys. We haven't found a great group like you guys here yet. |

Just talked to the folks at the rental agency. If I e-mail them a few names of who will be there the earliest, they will give the keys to whoever's on the list. So my question to you is, who will probably be there the earliest? Rubberdown, U4ueh, X9bser, Twig??? We're a good 5-6 hours out, so I'm sure we'll be the last ones there. I still need to know about beer and drink preferences. I'll grab munchies and breakfast muffins, bagels and cream cheese. We still have some space if anyone else is interested in going. |

Buelletta-If this place is anything like the last cabin, you won't 'need' the porch. I hope everything works out and you all come show up. JIM |

Hey all, can I get a quick run down of what this ride will entail? Schedule, meeting points, riding distance, cost, etc? I've never done any group rides, but am very interested, especially interested in a mountain ride. I should be competent enough by Oct to not be a danger to anyone. Thanks in advance for any info! Matt - the trip to Boone is just to get together and ride some mountain roads. There is no schedule of events. However, some that know the roads will probably lead some rides. We have a cabin rented that will house around 12/13 people. Some may be on air mattresses or couches, but it will be cheaper and a better time than a hotel. Currently, the cost (based on 13 people) is $42 per person for the weekend. We will all pitch $$ for the munchies, drinks, beer and breakfast items. Shouldn't total much. Carlos (M2nc) will probably be on his Uly and I'll be driving my Suburban with gear, coolers, munchies, etc. If you're still interested, let me know and I'll add you to the list. If you do come, I'd like to know any dietary restrictions and your preference on drinks and beer. Also I'd like to get your cell number and e-mail address. I like to e-mail all going each other's cell numbers, just in case something happens, help can be on the way. Currently there are people from the Raleigh, Fayetteville, Greensboro and Charlotte area going. Maybe you can hook up with someone from your area for the ride to Boone. I will be posting the address of the cabin soon so people can mapquest their travel route. This group has some really good riders, but will not push anyone past their comfort level. Trust me, when Carlos rides alone he rides one way, when I'm on the back, the pace is much slower! We found out in Suches GA, I'm not a fan of the true twisties! |

Glenn - we'll put you down for 2 now! I think there are 3 rooms with either queen or double beds. There is also a room with 2 twins. We'll figure it out when we get there. I think there are only 3 couples going at this time. |
