I would like to lower the shifter and rear brake on my 06 XB9SX, which I think is possible. The shifter looks like you loosen the two lock bolts on the barrel and turn it to shorten. Any trick to the brake lever? I'm fairly tall and its quite a stretch to get my foot on the brake from the peg. Any help would be appreciated. |

The brake lever connects to a threaded rod, follow this up and you will understand. |

So basically your saying pull the cotter pin and spin the base up the threaded rod a bit? |

On the rear brake the cotter pin can be removed to loose the lock nut and move the end up and down to adjust the lever position...be careful not to twist the rod that goes up into the switch. For the shifter do the same with the threaded rod between the lever and upper portion going into the case. |
