while at the factory tour at homecoming... they had a few historical buells lined up. the X-1 had a card that read: ---------------------- X-1 Lightning years: 1999-2002 production: 2,018+ ---------------------- what does the "+" mean ? is that the total production number ? |

What is what? A carbon Kevlar bike? Well, as far as photos, I am working on that...dont have a camera....but, might be able to get a disposable, adn have walgreens or something bdevelope the photos, and put them on disc..then I can post... But, the Carbon Kevlar, was an X1, with carbon fiber, tank cover, front fender, rear fender, and fly screen, came in Nuke blue, with nuke blue rims(seen a pic of one with PM rims). Only 250 of said bike.. I typically wasnt running the carbon body work, as I cant affrod to replace(though, you cant get factory replacements anyway).. Another guy just sold one last month, I will see if i can find a pic of his.. Chase |

How many X1W's were built, I heard 742 from some guy I talked to at the factory when I first bought mine, but never really knew for sure, you don't see vary many on the street for sure. Milleniums 800 built I think. |

If I remember correctly, there were: 800 Blue Race Stripe X1s in 1999 250 Carbon Fiber Extreme X1s in 1999 800 Red Race Stripe X1s in 2000 800 Millenium Edition X1s in 2000 Plus all the regular (if an X1 could ever be termed "regular" ) X1s in '99, '00, '01 and '02. I've never heard how many X1Ws were produced. I had a beautiful 2000 Reactor Yellow with Nuclear Blue frame and wheels X1 (only seen one other like it) that, sadly, I totalled. It would be interesting to know the production numbers of each model WITH their factory color combos. Wait the calculator reads 2650 units specials I have read some where that the total production of X1 units was in the range of 8000 or so. with all of the mutant choppas hang on to them for a while they will become scarse Yellow / Blue X1 I bet that was eye catching, there are not that many yellow X1s that I have seen Black / Red / Orange / yellow / with black/ or blue fames, never seen an orange frame and one white frame X1WL.. |

My friend almost bought an M2 that was yellow with a black frame. We were calling it the bumblebee. By the time I finally convinced him to grab it, we went to the dealership and it was gone baby gone. |
