WE HAD A GREAT TIME at Homecoming '06 and after we left Homecoming and entered Illinois again--we went into a restaurant to eat and came back out to find that someone had KISSED Jerry's ULY! How weird is that? Top that one Grimace!

Great time. Great people. Great weather. All in all a fantastic trip. It was good to meet everyone. Thanx to everyone at Appleton, Hal's and the Factory for all the hospitality...why did I wait so long to do Homecoming??? The Uly performed flawlessly. 1400 miles, two-up with loaded bags. Speed was 75-80 most of the trip. Overall 50 MPG!!! and she only used about 6-8 oz of oil. The rear brake cylinder was low in fluid (which I'm still trying to figure out) Hopefully I'll see some of you at Mid-Ohio! Bret |

Wow 6oz of oil in 1400 miles. Thats cool The old X1 used 1.5 quarts, I went a bit closer to 2000 miles though. Maybe it was the Dyno run. Guess I better start thinking about the 1250 kit Homecoming was pretty cool after a late start (2pm) I road straight to the Hotel from Rochester, NY. A nice little 14 hr ride. Chicago is pretty cool to ride through at midnight. Met up with Spidey, Grimace and Brad (some seriously twisted folk) for the ride over to Dave's and then the ride down to East Troy (didn't I pass this place around 2am last night????) The factory was pretty cool, the employees were very happy to talk about product and their jobs etc. The ride back to Appleton was "interesting". Spidey and Grimace are pretty good at maintaining an exuberant pace. Dinner at Dave's was awesome, got to test ride the XB12ss. The Brats were plentiful. Even had some of that Okra Road Thing was passing out The races were pretty cool. I was shocked how quite the XBRR is. Anybody get the whole story on Crevier's Black Flag? FiremanJim, Rex and myself did a quick tour of Millenium Technologies. The place is pretty high tech for what looks like a warehouse from the front. They do some amazing stuff in that shop. Another ride to appleton , another dinner, more cigars..... Then a nice leisurely 800 mile ride back to Rochester. other than the oil consumption, I can't complain the 30,000 mile X1 didn't miss a beat Hope everyone had as much fun as I did matt |

Crevier's black flag...I was told this at the race... Oil drip on exhaust likely caused the smoke that caused the officials to black flag him. They looked at the bike then let him go. He made three position back up before crashing in turn one. Viewing from the BRAG paddock...he went from about 10th to 7th then in one lap to about 16th (black flag?) then back to 13th one lap later before disappearing. Estok was pretty much holding steady the whole time at about 15th. Bret |

From the pit after the race we were told that the black flag was because he rolled the start. |

According to Terry Galigan at Hals, Creiver jumped the start, because the guy next to him jumped. Creiver then rolled back. But only Creiver got black flagged, because some other teams whined about it. |

Funny, I heard (at the track) that Gobert jumped the start and the AMA official black flagged the wrong guy. I guess I'll have to watch it on speed tonight Lake Thanks I'll send info along shortly matt |

I don't know how "deep" Erik thought our disussion was, but I was thrilled to be talking to him. I hope to eventually find my way into his employ. DaveS, I don't know who that guy is in the pic you took and labeled as being me. I'm much skinnier, younger, and better looking than that guy. We got Tim, No_Rice, home at around 8pm on monday. We stopped and slept at a truck stop at around midnight. Kyle and I rolled into our driveway at around 11am Dora, don't forget to sideline that helmet! I have eyes everywhere and I'll know if you don't!
