Does anyone have any idea when or if the race kits are going to be available? They are still on the Buell website!! I've had a kit and low seat on order for almost 2 months. I guess some companies don't need my money. |

the race kits are going to be obsolete. It is taking forever to get my last shipment of them. I talked to the factory last week and I am getting some of them next week(I hope). I am not taking any more orders as all of the ones I have coming are sold. Hang in there. |

Thanks Daves. I feel a little better, (I think) Any word on the low seats? I heard talk that they were in re-design. |

Any updates? I know it's only been a few days, but are Daves' kits getting to him, or at least getting closer? If they stopped producing them and aren't going to deliver, it'd be great to know... |

If you are not already on the list it is impossible to get on the list. In fact, the list doesn't even exist. Forget you ever heard about the list. Capish? |

Glad I asked! That sounds awesome, and based on what I read, that means if someone was among the first 20 that you initially ordered, it'll be out soon, right?! As always, it appears DaveS is the man! |

I have started a backup list for any extras I may end up with. I have had a couple customers back out on their orders and I ordered a few extras. It all depends on how many I end up getting from Buell. If I get all I ordered I will have a couple extra. If you want on the backup list call me tomorrow. It will be first come, first served til they are all gone. No promises but I will try |

Way cool! Let us know what you think of it and the benefit it does or does not bring to your Uly. In the mean time I should have mine mounted up tomorrow, and my buddy has been on DaveS' list since back in March, so by the sounds of the above he'll have his soon as well. Needless to say, I'm going to go ahead and safety wire the new (Grade 8) sidestand mounting bolts too while the pipe is off, so that I have one less thing to worry about down the road... |

My local dealer has 5...well 4 now. I put one on layaway today. Hard for me to come up with the total in one chunk. I hope it is worth the money. I figured I had better get one while I could. |

Installed it tonight. Didn't reset the TPS-no software- hope the dealer will accommodate me soon. Yes, it's a bit louder just standing next to it. Hope to try it out tomorrow if the rain stops. |

I have been riding the race kit w/o the ECM installed today. I tried the race ECM but the bike ran too poorly. Re-attached the exhaust servo and the reg ECM. Runs pretty good-nice sound. I want to have someone else ride the bike while I listen to see how loud it is. On the road it sounds good but not too loud. Even w/o the race ECM it pulls better from 2K. An occasional miss around 3500 when cruising. Does anyone know if the air filter is a K&N-ie should it be oiled- no directions to do so... I'll either order the software from Dave or go to the dealer if they can get me in quicker |

Just got home on weekend pass to find two big boxes. One race kit and a low seat. (felt like a kid on Xmas) First thing I did was install the seat. It feels pretty good and I can get both feet on the ground. I'll work on the race kit as soon as I get new straps. Thanks Daves for coming thru. |

I installed mine on Saturday and cold idle was bad (wanted to die). After about 20 minutes on the highway and it was much better. Had to re-ajust the idle on Sunday (after Saturday's ride). This thing runs great and my wife loves the sound! |

Does the air filter need to be oiled first? Or if not, how do you clean it? |

Got my race kit installed and TPS reset. The noise is a little more than I expected but the "surgeyness" in the low RPM range is gone. I just returned from a sunset ride with some stop and go traffic and the bike is easier to ride at those speeds. It revs quicker and has good torque right off idle. I'll have to get out of town and open her up this weekend but it seems to have noticeably more power. It's a shame this kit is discontinued otherwise I'd recommend it to everyone. I have some custom fit Hocks Noise Breakers on order that I'm sure will come in handy combating the Harley roar. Thanks for the great service Dave. It was well worth the wait. |

No, to the best of my knowledge it is NOT an oil type filter... Cleaning with an air hose may be best, but I'll let the more technically adept chime in on that one. |

It's not oiled, but you could probably clean it with K&N cleaner and not re-oil it. Either that, or simply buy a K&N. |
