The spars sound good to me. Let's leave early. Possibly head out as the sun is coming up. I'm probably going to hit the flats friday morning too. |

I've been out of touch for a while, but at the BRAG meeting I attended (some months ago now) there was talk of a Coronado Trail ride. This was to be an "official" BRAG ride (WTHTI). Has anything happened on this? It was pretty much the consensus that it would have to be a 2-day event, with lodging in Show Low. It was desirable to wait for "warm weather" in order to avoid ice. I'd say we're probably safe from that now. |

Oh. Shewt. That'd be US191, where y'all had so much fun the other week. I missed it. I have a good excuse: I was in the hospital. I guess I'll just have to do it by myself. 670 miles? What's to keep one from doing it all in one (long) day? |

the gas station just north of US 60 on Idaho Rd. I can't remember the gas station name, but it's the only one. Say 5:30 - 6am. Kelly, Sunday @6 sounds good to me. |

hey pb, TRUST ME you don't want to try and do that in one day. My hands and butt hurt doing it in 44 hours. It's worth the motel cost though! -oh, and i do NOT recommend the Rode Inn Motel |

Well since Vince went down yesterday and no one else has posted they want to ride on Sunday I won't be going. Isn't anyone else alive out there in this scorching desert? On second thought I'll probably be going, but not until 9:30 am. Anyone else up for it they can meet me at said time at I-17 and the Carefree hwy gas station. |

"Isn't anyone else alive out there in this scorching desert? " Hey Kelly, You should have come up to Colorado for the SpringFast!
would this be enough to cool you off?
the weather was great, three days, 941 miles...
sorry to hear about Vince, glad you didn't get banged up too bad. Y'all take it easy and keep the rubber side down! |

Well the spars was a good ride today. Lisette and I went by ourselves and had a good time. It was a little cooler up there, but once we headed back on I-17 the heat turned way up and we roasted all the way down. 114 degrees when we rolled into Phx at 3:30. No more rides coming back into the valley in the afternoon for me... Bart- I'm so jealous! Snow and everything! |

Nice Kelly, There's a brand new black (and a red) xb12r waiting for me, waiting for insurance to pay, at the dealership. My bike was officially totaled on Friday. I'll be back. |

hey vince sorry to see that you trashed your bike.if your interested and the price is right, maybe i'll sell you mine?call me so you can fill me in on all the nasty details.i'm glad to see that your ok,and let this be a lesson to everyone about the dangers of riding in this excessive heat. just kidding! hey kelly, if want to go on rides then go,post a message ,get a group and go,nowhere does it say that i have to organize the rides, thats actually jeremys' job.maybe at this time of year people are either to hot or busy, i haven't seen any big response to your ride inquires. just a thought, as for me i just do not have the time right now with my new job, if you want to take over, just let me know. i remember several months ago,at trackday, when it wasn't nearly as hot as it is now, that everyone(including me an you) had a hard time finishing the day and thats only 15min at a time.i have to consider that it may not be the best thing to do right now,but if you want to go feel free.there's nothing wrong with take a few months off. |

Did something happen at Chandler HD/Buell? Took the 12X in today and no Buells to be seen. It also looked like the Buell accessories section is being taken over by cruiser parts. |

I'm in Chandler, and finally got my Buell running again after letting a friend loop it for me. Took it for a hard ride to Payson last Wednesday. I get headshake like a bastard coming out of fast corners. Looks like a steering damper is the next purchase. |

You have verified that the suspension is setup correctly? |

I have the sag set at 30mm, with both the damper adjusters most of the way out for street riding. When compared to my GSX-R1000, the stock suspension settings on the Buell were closer to my preferences than the Gixxer ever was. Is there something I'm missing, or a trick that I don't know about concerning the Buell suspension? Both wheels are perfectly balanced, and tire pressure is around 36 psi. |

Take your bike to a guy named French @Cyclewerks its in the phonebook under Motorcyle listings tell him you need a suspension adjustment. It sounds like your rebound and compression are way off. We run that route and I personally have no problems running those fast corners @ 120mph+. The Buells do have quite a bit of headshake on hard corners powering out of them. In that case I would recommend the steering damper, you really cant go wrong with one as long as you really need it. |

I am no rookie when it comes to motorcycles. I am a motorcycle mechanic, and am pretty well versed in suspension theory and operation. I am confident that my damping settings aren't "way off". The harder I ride this thing, it seems that headshake is just an inherent characteristic of the chassis at high speeds. Does everybody else have this issue? It feels stable in a corner, but coming out, WOT near 130mph it starts to shake. |

No one said you were a rookie... You said you liked the stock setup (the way it came or set by the book?). You adjusted the suspension. Now you don't like it. Put it back. |
