The helmet is a Scorpion evo400. I was told you can put a size Large liner in a Medium helmet because the shells are the same size and it is the liner that provides the size/fit. True or untrue?

gotta ask, why do you want a larger liner? I'm guessing, after taking my liner out to wash it, they fit tightly in the helmet they were specifically made for... maybe you can contact scorpion and ask.

On my HJC I am running a medium size Cheek Pad but the rest of the liner is of the Large size. The pad itself is thicker while the part that connects to the shell is the same size.

As Angelwild327 says...check with your helmet manufacturer or seller to make sure but you have the right idea...it is possible with most of the helmets I have had so far.

Generally the larger the size the thinner the pad...
