I posted this on the general discussion board but this seems to be the proper place. So I drop off my 00 M2 for it's 15K service. I catch a ride home from the shop go-for. We talk about Buells and other bikes. He rides a F4. I tell him that I'm waiting for the new model. He says that his roomate works for a crash test facility and Buell has a new bike in for testing. I ask for specifics. He said the bike was very different because it's gas tank was in the frame and the oil tank was in the swing arm. Other than that all he knew was that it was a V twin and the body work was "cool" and he thought it was either a 2003 or 2004 model. Hmmmmmm has anyone heard these rumors? If true this brings new meaning to "Different in every sense" |

Do you ride the bus or take your lunch? This is a FAR more serious question than perhaps you know...hehehe. Hmmmmmm has anyone heard these rumors? Hey. Give me a break. I know little and one reason is that I do NOT ask folks who would readily give up the info. HD takes a VERY dim view of this activity. I heard the tale of CE and the 2 HD 20 year vets who got the "you have 15 minutes to clear your office out orders". The gas in the frame and the oil in some cavity? Again, I know nothing...but I do know Erik Buell and there's nothing that he'd love more for several reasons. My bet is that your pal is not done revealing traits the "UDB" Under Development Buell has. Think....What has Erik BEGGED to put on production bikes and never had the $$$ or support to make work. Will...it's time you learned the ways of a Jedi Knight.... Court - ill informed and enthusiastic as can be. afterall....by the time most of you read this a Buell will have been doing a Buell signature smokey smiley face donuts on the "in transit" aircraft elevator of a United States Aircraft Carrier...somewhere at an "undisclosed location". HINT: It is NOT the Ford Proving Grounds in AZ. |

Court It was not my intention to get anyone a pink slip. I was just passing on a little unsolicited info. to my fellow Buell bros. And the crash test facility is here in Arizona. 6 WEEKS AND COUNTING!!!!!!! |

Think....What has Erik BEGGED to put on production bikes and never had the $$$ or support to make work. Ok, I'll bite. A four stroke RW750 engine? In other words a four stroke square four engine. This would make so much sense, BUELL would come full circle, with a motor design that nobody else uses, giving it character and making it even more "Different in every Sense" |

Well, the commercial shoot is TODAY. Anyone near the USS Hornet? Can you get us some spy photo's? I couldnt take the day off to putt down to the Bay, or I'd be there with a LONG lens. |

So much for a new engine? Who said that? Certainly not the Buell website. They did put out info on the current line up and how they would be updated for the new model year, but nowhere does it say, THATS ALL WE GOT. As a matter of fact, it tells you to check back to get ALL the details on the NEW Buell motorcycles. |

I don't think Honda has sent the Hornet over to the States. They do have a nekkid CBR600 in Europe though. |
