My boyfriend (jimduncan69) and I were supposed to be going for a ride on his lightning 12scg to breakfast on Sunday. We pulled up to where he keeps his bike stored, and he told me that I was just going to have to ride this other bike, and he pointed to a Blast. I was confused and asked him ," Who's bike is that?" and he said," Yours!" What a surprise! I had been wanting one for quite a while, and let's just say financing wasn't going my way. He had stumbled across a used Blast in town and bought it for me as a surprise! What a great guy! So, this is my first bike and I have only rode a motorcycle once before in the MSF course. He had arranged for a bunch of friends to meet us to go demo ride some Buells, and we headed out. I was doing pretty good for a beginner, only stalled it a few times . After riding it about 50 miles or so, I layed it down making a right hand turn from a stop sign. I learned the hard way that I was letting the clutch out too fast. Thank goodness I didn't get any major injuries and I was only in first gear going slow! So the next day, I was sore, but couldn't wait to hop back on and ride, so jimduncan69 and I headed out again just around town for about 45 minutes. The bike only had a scuff or two, and a broken turn signal that he fixed for me right away. Sorry that this is so long, I am just excited about my first bike! |

Eyes wide open, head constantly moving to spot hazards, enjoy. I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my Uncle.... Not screaming in terror like his passengers!

Congratulations on your new bike! My wife wants a Buell too. She has been learning and getting practiced up on a 250 Ninja. I think she is about ready for an XB9. Maybe this fall when used bike prices drop a bit. |

PERFECT! get right back on! My first ride on a "real bike" was on my friend's RM125. I got it to go about 45 feet before I plowed into some bushes. I also felt the need to immediately get right back on. (after my friend dragged it off of my scrawny 14 year old butt) |

My wife, is finally sick of riding on the back...though, I figured taking the rear pegs off would have solved that... Oh well.... Chase F*ck'em if they can't take a joke.

no name for the bike yet, but I am having a "blast" riding it! Oh, I got to ride in the rain (sprinkles) for the first time today too. Chasespeed- my boyfriend tried that too taking the passenger pegs off, but I had to complain, but this was before the surprise. Jerry- thanks for the compliment for sometimes5! |

Well, the main reason for the peg removal, was the rear-sets...but yeah... she noticed the rear axle was hollow...and made me get a rod to put through there...hahaha.... She got me some XB hangers...but i need the pegs for it... Oh well, cant win them all... Chase F*ck'em if they can't take a joke.
