I understand what you mean, I went from stock, to rear-sets, with cafe bars...it made it feel ALOT more responsive... Then, after my wreck in Feb, I put dirtbike bars on it...adn it didnt turn-in as fast, but felt more...precise... I understand, and value how just changing ergos can change a bike... I was just stating, that, nothing is really different on the R..except, that is has the bars EVEN with teh top tripple, which, of course, will change the feel..maybe shoulda made that more clear.. Chase F*ck'em if they can't take a joke.

The Swede's are not very good liars. They are very straight and normally trusting people and they will go out of their way to help you. No, as far as I know there has never been any serious discussions about that. Doesn't sound like a denial to me. Was there a not so serious discussion then? However; it would be quite a bike. How does Lillen know? What's the comment based upon? A mock up? More? Or maybe just a personal perception? Interesting theory Matt. Rocket |

Just remember HDI, HD, BMC and all their vendors are sworn to silence. Even us 2nd tier suppliers are sworn to silence. |

And where would we be buying these Buells with motors from places other than HD? The Harley dealers can barely stand us as it is! |

Oldog, They claim they will be bringing them in soon. Polaris is footing the bill for DOT/NHSTA approval. Or at least that's what I read BDWD......... Biker Dads With Daughters est.2006 defending our sweet little girls from those bad bad boys. You're not one of THEM are you?

Water cooled for the street and air for the track where they can take advantage of the rules until they get the water cooled engine sorted? Maybe, but I doubt it. Just doesn't seem right ATM... I know nothing though. |

Highland also makes the street legal "Dirt Tracker" that outie has been pining away for -- very tastey, indeed -- KTM buying Highland's motor doesn't make a lot of sense to me -- I'd bet on an Eyetalian marque (as has been aluded to, whichever one is in the black that week) It is better to be shot from a gun than squeezed from a tube -- HSThompson

Quess I am "old skool", as I like the fact my 98 S1W shares many of the same motor components as the same year sporty, has a carb, pushrods and is air cooled.... |
