Try posting a wanted ad on the Classifieds page, you might get more responses there. Welcome to the BadWeb, I see you are a train driver. A Buell seems like an appropriate choice for someone with that job. Jack |

A funny thing happened on my..... I can now attest to this small observation. Buell the bikes and Buell the company are getting noticed. The peeps out there are asking where(can I) more than what(is that). |

I just got off of the phone with our good friend Paul Rogers and could tell by his lovely voice that he is indeed alive. He asked me to post some info about his near catastrophic road trip. It involves a few fast moving and some non-moving vehicles a Nun and a small child with a teddy bear. Some serious stunt driving, of the caliber that would put Craig Jones to shame, and our dear Paul is still on top of the dirt instead of under it. O.K....O.K., I may have embellished just a tad. Paul grabbed too much brake when some unexpected Powersliding was being perpetrated in front of him on a major highway(and I am sure he was probably driving on the wrong side of the road as Austrailians will do). Well let us just say that Ol' Paul is a certified member of the OTH(over the handlebars) club. He has some road rash, some bruised ribs(don't make him laugh) and a very messed up shoulder(I hope all these technical medical terms don't confuse you guys). Anyway, Paul says he will eventually be fine and I told him that chicks love scars, so he will be O.K. Let's let Paul know how much we love him and send him some fine Badweb get well wishes. Let me be the first to say... Paul, I love you man...Heal quickly and completely...I miss your face. Smooches my friend, Pammy |

Bazza_t, Thanks for the kind thoughts. '42 is the birth year, not my age. So I've retired twice so far, once from the Navy and then the second from all of it at age 62. No regrets on any of it though, still on my feet and still able to ride. You'll all get there, it just seems like it is all uphill pull with a long way to go and then all of sudden you're there. Hang tough Paul. I feel your pain. Matt Mladin, six time AMA Superbike champion also crashed recently. Coincidence? I think not. Will miss seeing you at homecoming. Warmest of thougts and best wishes for a quick recovery amigo. Give me a call if you get too bored. |

Paul advises that he is not quite up to typing yet due to some sore fingers, but he is doing fine in his healing and appreciates all the well-wishes. He says the bike is not too bad for the tumble and is already arranging its repair. Mostly cosmetic and a tail section subframe is all. |

Hey guys, Just put down a deposit on a brand new Bourget Low Blow Chopper! I've read lots of good things about his bikes and this model in particular. Haven't found anything negative at all. Anybody have experience with Bourgets or the Low Blow? BTW, this one has the springer front end on it, and it'll be my first springer. Anything I need to know (besides the obvious limitations on turning, etc.)? Looking forward to picking it up in a few weeks! |

Just FYI..they're not a Buell dealer, but anyone living in or passing through Fairfax, VA. should stay out of Patriot Harley-Davidson..they are nothing more than a bunch of arrogant, conceited crooks...my bike broke down last week, and they made me wait 4 hours to do a 10 minute test, then I had to drive 40 miles round trip to pick up my part from another dealer...i didn't get on the road to come home until 10 hours after i was supposed to leave...and when i called to talk to the General Manager, i got the same response from him, as if nothing was wrong...if this is how the future of Harley is going, no thanks...there are other bikes out there!! But I'd like to see customers take their business elsewhere...that's the only thing that Patriots will understand.. |

Had a nice chat with Blake. Blake, Thanks for calling. Lets clear a few things up right up front. I'm not "mad" at Blake. I was for about 2 hours at one point (long ago). I got over it when I realized it wasnt that big of a deal. I still held my views at to what went on, but wasnt "mad" about it. Recently with all of the stuff flying around BadWed and Sacborg about a variety of issues, I took exception to something Blake had posted, and in a general fit of ill humour, posted some fairly nasty things, including offering Blake an appology tattoo'd to a certain part of my anatomy. Poor form on my part. I was ticked off, although it lasted for about as long as it took me to type it all out. Then I was over it. Again, not mad at Blake. For leaving the post up, I appologize, and will remove it post haste. I also appologize for its content. Not good. I am in general a happy person, but when I feel attacked, I tend to take things over the top. Sort of the who can -insert description of yer favorite excratory function here- bigger sort of thing. I should learn to type things like out, save them and come back to them the next day and see if I still think its a good idea to post it. 99.9% of them would never see the light of day. As for the original issue of Blake and my disagreement. After actually talking with Blake, I do now believe him. He had no intention of screwing with SacBORG. everything I saw lead me to that, excepting for actually talking to Blake. We exchanged emails about it, and I thought about it for quite some time, but still held my views. Sometimes (most times) hearing HOW someone says something means more than what they say. something that all too often gets lost on the Net. Blake and I both came to the conclusion that if either one of us were mad at each other, or were trying to screw around with each other, we would both KNOW it. As it wouldnt be something left up to guessing. for saying Blake was being untruthful, I am sorry. this issue has gotten tangled up with others on both boards, and frankly been blown WAY out of proportion, by myself and others. Time to let it go. Thank you Blake for calling and the offer for a beer or twelve at Laguna stands. (Message edited by Choptop on June 16, 2006) |

Thanks Chop, I feel exactly the same way. I can too easily become all indignant and so really need to let an issue settle for a day decade before posting on it. That's one reason I value the wonderful custodians here, they can catch me and reel me back in, and I also am mindful that they are there looking out for me. I think I've about worn some of them out lately. Was great talking with you. Sorry if I interrupted much; in my mind, everything I have to say always seems so vitally important. LOL. It ain't usually. Appreciate your patience. It was a one time shot I know; now that your phone knows my phone, you'll likely not be taken by surprise again. Beer is GOOD! Twelve you say?! Life is great! |
