I need a really loud horn for my 9R. I live in a town full of no drivin fools! Long story short: I could hear their bump'n music over my race pipe, but they could not hear my horn over their music. I want the loudest I can buy, but with out screwing up the look of the bike. Any recommendations. |

Paintball gun, good idea! I used to know a guy who thru old spark plugs at people who ran him off the road. He kept a few in his jacket at all times, I never saw him do it, but he seemed crazy enuf to do it. |

PIAA makes 115db horn. I've never heard or seen it in person, but 115db should be LOUD. Anyone out there have one of these? Just my opinion, but a lot of times, it's safer to concentrate on riding out of trouble rather than thinking about striking the horn and hoping the other guy realizes he's driving crazy. |

124db: http://www.boatus-store.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=200 02&langId=-1&catalogId=20002&productId=47246 111db, you could put two in a fairing or flyscreen: http://www.boatus-store.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=200 02&langId=-1&catalogId=20002&productId=223004 I saw one rated at 135db once in some auto parts mail order magazine in the boating section. |

Isn't it FIAMM that makes the loud bike horns? Otherwise, pull your clutch and twist the throttle a couple of times. That has worked well for me in the past on a variety of bikes. |

I installed the Stebel Nautilus Compact Horn. Best idea ever; it is sooo LOUD!! Not sure if you have the same amount of room behind the R fairing as is behind the S flyscreen. Have a look at my previous posts: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/187115.html |

I installed the horn from an M2 Cyclone on my XB12R. It's identical to the standard HD horns, but doesn't come with the chrome cover so it's a bit less expensive. I had to bend the bracket slightly to get it to fit in the stock location, but it did fit with no real modification. I couldn't give you decibel numbers, but it's noticeably louder than stock and has a much better tone. |

Picking up the Stebel Compact Horn today and gonna install it this weekend. Gonna rain here in the northeast, so it'll give me something to do. Thanks for the help Captainxb. |
