Got a real Scary/violent headshake on the way to work this AM. Pulled my front tire off to discover that my front wheelbearings had gone south BIGTIME!(Don Gomo style) Upon romoving the axle, the crusty remains of the cage and balls fell out of the wheel followed by the preload tube which normaly resides between the bearings. Anyway, my intentions of joining some of you guys this Sunday were suddenly squashed with the realizition that I'm not going anywhere anytime soon!(at least not with my XB) So, after some though, I decided to call Jeff Watson in Danbury, I've heard tale of his helping badwebbers by going above & beyond the call of duty. I reached his voicemail and left a message, Jeff returned my call in less that 5 minutes! I explained my situation, and asked If there was any chance that he stocked the bearings I need. He got right on it, he called me back to inform me that although he didn't have any in stock, he had located them in New Jersey AND he had called the NJ Dealer and had them visually confirm that they had the bearings on the shelf. Furthermore he provided me with the PH # and name of the partscounter person that he had spoken to! Jeff did all the legwork for me and saw to it that I was able to get back up & running in time for Sundays Bear Mt. ride! I can't thank you enough Jeff! I took the afternoon off & went down to NJ to pick up the bearings from Justin(a big thanks to justin also) at Liberty H-D. I should have everything back together tomorrow, and I'll be at the top of the Mtn. on Sunday. Thanks Again, Fritz St.Mire |

Jeff is awesome. along with the rest of the crew at Danbury HD/Buell. If only everyone on here had a dealer like Danbury. They would all be happy bikers. |

jeff and danbury hd were instrumental in making me a "happy buell customer", another dealer had dropped the ball so to say. he did the same thing for me, visually inspected the parts i needed after a crash to insure that they were in stock before i drove 60 miles to get there. there are good buell dealers despite what it sounds like on the "boards". danbury is one of the few hd dealers where the owners ride sport bikes! |

and you thought the "burgh" was tough, a weekend with the ex might make it seem like a playground. they probably don't let you bring ammo on the plane anymore! |

You're welcome Fritz! I am glad to hear that you will be able to make it on Sunday!!! I have to say that this thread was a nice surprise for me as I go through my usual morning ritual of coffee and BadWeb. Thank you all for your kind words. It is greatly appreciated. I would also like to compliment the staff at Liberty HD/Buell and HD/Buell of Edison. It was very nice to have my part search met with the same Buell enthusiasm that we have at HD/Buell of Danbury.
