i bought an ICON mainframe rubatone helmet a month ago and i am very happy with it. it was reasonable $209.00, comfortable, and very sylish, everybody says it's the coolest helmet they've ever seen! it goes well with the hooligan look, mine is flat black and i bought the mirror shield for it, looks badass. in it's price range it compares well with comfort and it has the latest safety ratings. the only thing bad i can say about it is it's a little noisy but not enough to deafen you or anything. anyway i think it's a great helmet if any of you are considering it. |

my friend owns a local shop and he got me a icon mainframe rubatane halo helmet the other day . nice helmet flat black with flat grey and white graphics. i also got a dark tint shield and a mirrored one and it all ran me about 285.00 when the retail was 475.00 so i say not a bad deal. |

I've been wondering about those. How quiet are they - how would you compare them to an Arai? |

I just bought the Mainframe Skull helmet and jacket. The helmet is great with "wind skirts" around the bottom opening to block the wind/noise from coming in. Removeable cheek pads with replacements in various thickness make the helmet easy to customize for a precise fit. My old helmet was an AGV which was considerably noisier than the Icon. Still waiting to put the jacket through its' paces since we had a sizing issue. If you buy the jacket keep in mind that they evidently run VERY small. Order a size or two up from what you think you need. My current Joe Rocket jacket is a medium and it looks like I will need an XL in the Icon! |

Update. The jacket is the BOMB! So well made it is ridiculous. It is very heavy but the vents are strategically placed so that with the liner removed it was quite comfortable in 90 degree weather. Supple leather right out of the bag without the usual "crunchy" break in period that most leather jackets require. I highly recommend this jacket! |

How does the sizing run on the Icon helmet? My head size is right on the line between the medium and large. (7 1/4 hat size/ about 23" circumference) There are no bike shops locally where I can try one on so I have to mail order it. |

I have an ICON helmet (the one pictured in buelkowski's post) and I love both of them. the helmet is a little noisy, but extremely comfortable, and the jacket is awsome! |

Has anybody bought Icon's new Domain helmet yet? I'm interested because it appears to have a great deal of ventilation and I live in the Deep South. There are no Icon dealers anywhere near me, so any information will be most appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

2nd try: Has anybody bought or seen an ICON Domain helmet? There's no dealer anywhere near me and I'm reluctant to purchase something as important as a helmet sight unseen. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |

The ICON helmets have great ventilation. I have an Alliance SS and love it. The fit, comfort, and quality are all much better than the price would suggest. My old helmet was an AGV - uncomfortable, noisy, and very hot on those 85+ days. With all the vents open, the ICON is much better. I don't recall ever sweating bad in the ICON last season. |
