I'm not going to do the 191 run this month. I'm thinking of hitting the TEAM AZ trackday at the West track May 21st it will be the last running on that track until Fall. Any takers? |

Do you have any more info on the route? Up and down 191 or loop past Showlow/Payson? |

Man, I rode that 191 last week on my way back to Portland. It was my favorite road of the 3600 miles I put on my bike. The first 15 miles or so out of Clifton are full of mine traffic and mine spillage in the corners. After that it was awesome! Up on top the road goes to 55 mph with sweepers but before and after, there's a whole lotta time in 1st and 2nd gear. Stop and get some photo's. If I had had an extra day, I would have run it back again. Absolutely no highway patrol, maybe it's National Park Service, either way, you can outrun them on that road. |

Hi Babyhuey, long time no hear. How ya been? Thanks for the offer on the bike, but I think Shane at the dealership has me taken care of me finally. The bike should be done today. I'm taking off for 191 this weekend with Lisette and meeting up with Bart in Springerville on Sat morning. Should be fun and we may even run into the guys from southwest rides. To Loosecannon, the only way to ride in phoenix is to not get stuck in traffic and to wear a very light mesh jacket. It's much better once you get out of the valley and into some mountains. There's lots of them around and I'm sure we'll be showing you them if you go on some of our rides. Speaking of, are there any plans or ideas for rides soon mr. director? |

guys, here's some loops I used to run when I lived out there: Loop1 - west out of phoenix thru Wickenburg, up over Yarnell, thru the spars, east over through camp Verde to Payson, and then back to Fenix. loop2 - same as loop1 except: from Payson go up 260 to Showlow, overnight there, and come back thru Salt river canyon, down to Winkelman, and then up to Superior, and then back into Fenix. Loop3 - up to Superior, down to Winkelman, up to Globe, and back to Superior, stopping at Los Hermanos Cafe/bar for lunch before heading back down the mountain to Fenix There's always Tortilla flats, South Mountain, the back road down to Tucson, and then up and down Mt Lemmon. So many roads, so little time... |

Any contact/address info on the Mountain Hi Lodge? Is it in Alpine? Is everyone making their own reservations? Is there a meet up spot at Idaho and the 60, or will we be meeting at the base of the exit and entrance ramps. Developments at work might interfere but I'm trying to keep my options open. Tim |

The 191 was unbelievable!! If any of you ever get another chance to ride it, I highly recommend. On the way up, I passed two CityXs headed south. Anyone from here...Kelly...Bart? |

Yea, it was us, Kelly in the lead with Lissette on the back, me behind him, and Mona in the back on her black X1. We went south from Springerville, had lunch in Morienci, and then went back up. It was great doing it twice in one day, Brian, you really need to pick a weekend, and we'll come out and ride it with you.

Yes it was a fantastic ride. 668 miles door to door. 191 was nothing but curves the whole way to Merenci, and then all the way back! Lisette and I ended up leaving friday eve and 8:20 and got there just after midnight. If anyone wants to do a scary ride, just go through the canyon at night with a tinted shield (and a passenger w/a 20 lb back pack!) An experience I'll probably never do again unless absolutely necessary. The only bad part of the trip was when I didn't see a rock in the road...daydreaming again . Anyway it bent my rim a little but it holds air just fine. Lucky me. Lisette was a trooper through it all, but I'll be getting her a little gel pad for the next long ride we go on. And a quick ride on Sun morn sounds good if anyone else wants to go! |

Thanks J, the bike is running better. No idling problem again... yet. It sounds a little louder now though. I don't know if thats how it was supposed to sound or if the exhaust is leaking. Either way I'll figure it out. At least I'm riding again. Thats the important thing. |

Whose riding this weekend?? I'll be out there, even if I just stay local, or put around town. Gotta let the Buell be known. Tired of people thinking the Firebolt's a Jap bike. (one person asked if it was a Ducati) I just say, "It's a Buell" then start it up, and let the drummer bark at them as I ride away. Ignorant F#$%'s. Hope to see some of you out there. |

Well I'm sorry i didn't make it out to ride with ya this weekend Vince. I was at home in bed sick all weekend. I didn't even have a beer. However, I am up and running for this weekend if you or anyone else is!? I was thinking of running the spars (thats Wickenburg to Prescott for the new guys here)... and thoughts? |

Sounds good to me. I got my Buell last February and have yet to make a ride. I'm dying to get out with some other riders. My neighbor and his GSX-R 1000 are only fun to follow around for so long, ya? |
