Well, Gail's just called me back. Bobbie confirmed Drake's service and extended the offer to me as well. So, Gail's will install a race ECM for .5 hour labor. It's now officially called the "Bobbie Quote" for race ECM installs. Thanks to you guys for your input. Where there's a will there's a way! |

You know that you could put the ECM on yourself in the parking lot and push it to the service department to have the TPS reset right? It really isn't a big deal at all. I'm not sure how much they are charging you for the install and how much is the TPS reset, but it should take more than a few minutes to reset your TPS. |

Brent, Call central and talk to Zeus, you can install the race ecm in the parking lot and then just get a TPS reset. They have reset my TPS many times, I would think they could do yours. Zeus and Frank will be the only two at Central South that know if the TPS can be reset or you can call the old Central and talk to Josh. $210 is an expensive install. |

Cut the staff at Gail's a little slack. Bobby is one of the more experience service writers. If you have something that's not the typical oil change, I would ask for him. If it even gets tougher talk to Robin, I think he is one of the most senior techs there and knows the Buells pretty well. |

I was dealing with Bobbie the entire time. The quotes all came from him. I started this topic with "NOT BASHING Gail's here" and I'm not. The first person I talked to about an ECM Install was Zeus and Frank. They just don't have the software to flash the ECM if they have to. Zeus tried his best but he couldn't help me. I never talked with Robin. I'll keep that in mind for next time. Gail's over quoted, were going to over perform an install and I was going to have to pay for it. With a little help from the guys here Gail's changed their quote. I respect that. But if I wasn't lucky enough to know you guys exist I would have just wasted $160. |

Robin's a great guy. had my bike in for a rear tire install. talked to him for a minute about exhaust. i had installed my Jardine a few weeks earlier. he went ahead and reset the AFV back to 100% i was running around 102-103% didn't charge a dime. but the guys are right install the ECM yourself and let someone reset the TPS. two screws and two electrical connectors. or hell just get up with me before you take it to werever and i will install the ECM for FREE!! in their parking lot. eric |

Am I bashing Gail's? Or are you bashing baby seals? |

It's a sport just like golf, except that baby seals are a lot easier to hit than golf balls. Plus, you don't have to chase them as far after a solid drive. |

Brent I finished your exhaust tonight, so it will be ready for you tomorrow night when you come over. Not sure if I'll be here or not yet but Larry will be to help you install it. Since I probably won't be home tomorrow I just used Larry's stock exhaust. |

I saw warren posting on the xboard a couple days ago...don't know if he checks storm fronts much. BTW, there's a guy that'll sell me a Power Commander III pre-mapped w/high performance bosch o2 sensor for $100. Sounds like a decent price, can't remember what this is putting out compared to the new Direct Link program? I've heard the new one is better to use... |

Tim, Thanks for the mod pipe. I can't wait to get some better sound. I love how my CityX rides, but feel like I'm riding on bitchin' sewing machine due to the sound. I'm looking forward to tonight. Sorry you won't be there as I was hoping to meet you as well. There's always next time. Thanks Again, Brent |

Drake, I like all of the knives except the last one. I don't know from personal experience, but it sort of reminds me of a nickname one might pick up in prison. |

I would like to announce that I'm now running the Blackfoot Mob custom pipe on my 05 XB9SX and it sounds incredible. Tim and Larry know how to get it done. Thanks to you both! Brent |

I have 3k miles on my Blackfoot pipe and it still sounds great. Welcome to the family. All that's left is for Larry to bless your circumcision and your initiation will be complete.

Did anyone check out the Bike Night at Mickey's by Oak Park Mall?? I was going to but I have been busy doing massive home improvement. James...I saw you today headed eastbound on 435 (sorry Lee I don't have any coordinates!). You weren't doing 85 or being followed by a cop so I could barely tell it was you. If anyone is riding this weekend please let me know. I need to get out and ride I've been working too hard lately. Erik |

I was gonna go up to mickey's on tuesday but ended up going to lawrence. Heard they got a free buffet for bike riders, and some drink specials (which don't really make sense on a bike night). Tuesday's bike night at Mickey's Wednesday's (sport) bike night at Fuel, regular bike night at The Other Place Thursday's bike night at Fuel and Paddy O'Quigley's in Lee's Summit. Friday's sometimes Buell night at Fuel... |

I may be game for tonight, if I get done at the dealership early enough. Saturday afternoon, I think I may be going to Liberty to take a look at an S1W. There is one for sale in the classified section. ( http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/21/198207.html?1147821257 ) He wants 6k for it. It better be VERY nice for that price. But I think it maybe worth a look if he is willing to come down at least a grand. Anyone want to ride along? |
