a friend of mine pointed me to a slew of websites about guys/girls riding their bikes around the world...For the most part, they seem to be bmw's. Anyone know of anyone doing this type of thing on a Uly? http://www.worldrider.com http://www.lowerider.ca |

Someone on advrider took it to Baja and back. I honestly don't see the Uly as being the ideal "around the world" bike. It's a sportbike that can do some dirt. Not the other way around. And don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad thing. |

WHITE CASTLES!!! You lucky bastid! It's about 800 miles to the nearest White Castle from here. I love/hate those little gas producers. |

I've got a major trip planned for late July/early August. Massachusetts to Glacier Nat'l Park via Niagara Falls, Lake Superior, Appleton, WI and Mt. Rushmore. If time and money permit, we'll duck over to the left coast and see the Castle Rock TT. Then we'll beat it home. I'm really looking forward to this. |

1st June I'm off to the east coast of Canada and back. Should be about 5500 miles. Did that distance on my 02 M2 last year and now I have a lot better bike for that kind of trip. I'm doing this one 2 up and I don't have any reservation at all....Ulys rock. |

Cygnus_x1 That sounds like an awesome trip...Don't have a uly yet, so I have to pass... I've got a hankering to have another bike (currently have an X1). So was kicking the idea around of trading the x1 for a Uly (the adventure rides) and picking up a K1200s (just for the crazyness) |

If you haven't ridden a Uly yet and you don't really want to buy a new bike then don't. I say again, don't go for a test ride. You have been warned. Failure to heed this warning may cost you some money. |

Thanks Brat.......now my trip to "homecoming" sounds like a trip around the block! Well, maybe some day I'll be independently wealthy and be able to ride around the world. For now "Homecoming" will have to do!

Homecoming for me, (oh to wisc) A trip I have made many times. I am also planning a 2 up adventure to CO and NM later in the year. Too many places to go, and not enough vacation time! |

I did a 17K trip around the US last Sep and Oct after I picked up the Uly from DaveS. Did a little of everything road-wise and the bike handled it all. |

Hi Bindy, I'm in Gove at the moment, passing through (1 hour at airport) Brisbane on the 19th June(monday) could leave it with my daughter (she has coffee with me at airport) at Bracken Ridge if that helps, drop it back to her when finished (copied). I'm passing through again on the 16th July) Cheers Brat |
