I know this belongs in the K.V section, but most don't look there. So, has anyone here that has done the belt upgrade on the 03's ever removed the front sprocket? According to the service manual, you need a special socket and sprocket alignment tool for obvious reasons. Just wondering if anyone has come up with a way to do it minus the specialty tools. Otherwise it's another trip to the dealer. |

First off it's left handed threads. leave the belt on. have a friend hold the rear brake. try a breaker bar first. if that doesn't work apply heat to the nut carefully. if the breaker bar still will not work try an impact wrench. It should come loose by this point. |
