Say your going down a 2 lane road and want to play around. Myself I wanted to at least practice some hazard avoidance moves. So I am going about 70-75 and start cutting into the left and right lane as quick as I can. as if something was in the left lane I had to miss . I noticed when I cut to the right ( my deapest cuts) the bike would want to wobble a little. Is this normal? |

Your actions were inducing a 'tank slapper'. Numerous causes will upset the handling enough to make this so. Whilst not every bike, even ones of the same make and model, won't do this, the fix with your particular bike might not be that easy to find. For example, body mass and weight, and the way you position yourself on the bike can have a bearing or even be the only bearing. After thoroughly checking everything on your bike, it may help if you fit a steering damper. Rocket |

It wouldn't hurt to check your steering bearings. If your front tire is in rough shape, you could have all sorts of bad behavior. My front is scalloped pretty badly and it does all manners of bad things if I brake hard going into a turn. |

Head bearing, tire pressure and condition are biggies. Tank slapping is not normal on my bike, no oscillation at all. |

I once thought there was something really wrong with my X1 until I noticed that my riding suit was catching a crosswind and fluttering around a lot. |
